Do you think we scared him/her away? I hope not. I enjoyed the comments, whether I agreed or disagreed. It was still great to get detailed opinion.
Come back Uniform Police. You can still stay anonymous, even if you have to register. And there has to be some uniforms out there we haven't seen. Like the "shorts". What do you think about the shorts? And how many other teams out there have shorts instead of skirts?

I love the shorts I think that is the way it needs to go, because when you have girls doing hyperextended jumps and you can see their bright blue underwear in the pictures afterwards thats just a nono. I just think those shorts needed a little more bling...HEHE

A slice of Americana....haha ok.
For comfort and appearance I definitely say go with the shorts.
I asked Em and she didn't like them or the idea.... she said a skirt makes her feel like a girl AND an athlete at the same time. She said it's kind-of like a tennis skirt. It just looks nice no matter what.
Just her opinion.

Thanks OC Mom for adding Em's opinion. I didn't see it from that perspective, but can definitely see what she is talking about. Any other cheerleaders agree or disagree?

my team has skorts .. i think thats what it is .. lol its a cheer skirt with attached briefs. err theyre boy shorts actually . but theyre attached to the skirt. i dont really see the difference.. its still a skirt with briefs under and sometimes the attached boyshorts arent as tight .. like on mine .. its a little loose around the leg / thigh area i guess so it tends to ride up sometimes .. alot of the girls on the team are always fixing their skirt probably b/c of that. i would kinda rather have the skirt and briefs separate. maybe its just size problem with this company ... i dunno

Yeah that seems like it could be rather irritating.. Thank you Cheergirl622 for your input!
However, when the skirt flips up you see the girls do a quick tug, with the shorts I'm afraid of what I'd see when they ride up. The shorts would definitely need to be customized so that they are tight enough to stay put, but loose enough so they don't cut into the leg.
If my imagined problems aren't really issues, then I think I like the shorts better.
We have the boy cut shorts this year under our skirt. Em tucks her skirt in on the top so it doesn't spin. Her shorts dont ride up cause they are tight enough and fit well. That's the key. Getting them to fit well. We have a girl on tiny's that is so small that her shorts were twice the size of her. Em sewed them for her and now they fit perfectly.
Some of the moms attached the shorts to the skirt and one even used velcro at the top. All work well, but I think if they shorts were attached down the side just a little, they couldn't spin, wouldn't come all the way up and still move with them. I just haven't gotten around to do it yet. I guess I could do it right now but I DONT WANT TO. hehehehehehe
