Sweet tea, on the other hand, is not really to my liking...
I am the exact opposite...love sweet tea, will pass on the grits, cream of wheat, oatmeal...you get the picture. If you can add anything to something, and that will make it taste better...obviously it didn't taste too good in the beginning.
Ok, and sweet tea? Is that iced tea with sugar??? Boy I am sounding dumb right now....

You are so right Brian. That warm up room was CRAZY! Remember the first time you walked in it? I actually got the chills. I have never seen so many tumble mats in my LIFE! It almost looked like a showroom.

This Memphis born and New Orleans raised , summers in Gatlinburg mom Loves
Grits w/ butter salt pepper , and yummy w/ american cheest on top . Too bad there aren't any waffle houses in california.
Also I adore sweet tea. A big ol glass w/ lots of ice and the moisture dripping down the sides of the glass when you are so hot and sweaty in the summer Aint nothing better.
Cept maybe a Oyster Po boy dressed w/ a Hurricaine to sip on .
I don't know who you are but now I'm mad at you....
now I want waffles.
And it's all your fault!

Has anyone who's ever been to the south ever noticed that all of the waiters and waitresses look like they'd rather be chewing glass rather than their job? If you're going to Atlanta this year see if you see what I see. Acedad? Is it just my imagination?

That's mostly just Atlanta. So many people have moved in, that it's lost some of it's Southern identity. You're likely to get much better treatment in Nashville, Birmingham, Charlotte, Charleston, etc.
Although, you'll probably get better treatment if you aren't going to a restaurant that has been serving thousands of cheerleaders not leaving tips for three days!
Now, if you go get a hot dog at the Varsity, they treat you that way on purpose. If you are in line to order and the person behind the counter hollars, "what'll ya have?", you better be ready to order or they'll skip right over you. Think Southern Soup Nazi!
I noticed the same thing! But I thought it was cause of all the screaming, giggling, jumping around, doing their ENITRE routine while in line, girls that were with me!!!!!!!

I love the chili dogs at the Varsity....ever since I was a little girl we would always stop there on the way through town....I miss it! I wish I was going to Hotlanta!
That's so funny cause when you said VARSITY.... all I could think of was the cheer company.... I didn't know they sold hot dogs too!

There's a great one in Chico near the fairgrounds/Silver Dollar Speedway. I think its called Country Waffles. I haven't been to the south so I don't know how it compares. I'll have to put it on our things to do when we are in Atlanta. Any near the competition site??? I LOVE waffles!
What about the famous Rosco's Chicken and Waffles? (sounds gross, huh)

When you ask for Tea in the south they dont ask if you want Sweet or Unsweetened.
They just asssume you want the Sweet ( yes, Brewed Tea, with a load of sugar) unless you specify unsweetened....hopefully this info will help with you not needing to return you tea.
