Well I saw some great talent too. Here is my recap:

Pacific, nicely done very put together teams in level 1, 2 and 3.

Stars Extreme: Good small coed, the guys had standing fulls, around 4 doubles but a couple were to the floor. They need full squad standing tumbling with their jumps, but overall a very strong start in a very difficult division. Alot of younger girls on the team so good future potential

American Cheer: They had a strong Jr. level 5 around 9 fulls with squad toe backs (one girl just stood there). Their Senior 5 had 6 doubles and what I saw a possible 4 more. Around 15 or 16 two to fulls maybe more. There pyramid needs help but I definitely wouldn't count a team with full squad triple toe backs possible 9 to 10 doubles and almost full squad two to fulls out. American always starts out rough, and peaks later. Dance was good and a bid is definitly in their future.

Titan elite and West coast rush had strong level 5 teams. Overall good competiton it's early and I am excitied to see nationals

so, i did watch both american cheer and stars today, and they both had some thing in common.
both American cheer and Stars Extreme did excellent today.

were they perfect routines? NO
Were they horrible? NO

Are they going to improve? YES

I think both teams are going to improve rapidly before the season is over.
DO NOT COUNT THOSE TEAMS OUT.

One of my awesome coaches cheered at Motions and has been with us for the last two years. She notified me today that this anonymous post was written.

I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you for your kind words about our program. This is our second season and we have doubled in size. Yes, we continue to clean our routines and yes this was are second competition. Thanks for the comment on our seniors-not their best run through and it will be their last like that.

I got the pleasure of seeing them, but I believe that they didn't do their routine full out cause there wasn't anyone in the category. So it's really tough to say.

I agree OC Mom. I don't think from after their tumbling section on was full out. I think they didn't do their pyramid full out. But they have some amazing tumblers on that team. The small senior level 5 division is going to be crazzzzzy this year. Can't wait!!!

Oh and P.S. Ther unforms look so much better in black. Super flashy!!!

Does American have the same uniforms that the Lrg Sr Lv 5 had last year?

Yes, they are mostly black with braiding of red, blue, and white (white???, can someone confirm?) I believe. The front lettering is the same as always... big, bold AMERICAN.

When I saw the new uniform last year I actually didn't like them. I thought compared to the original uniforms they were to subdued in color. I liked the brighter blue and red, and think it goes better with their gym name "American". The new uniform has a more classic look, but I still like the original uniform.

I Loved American's old unis without the black. Mainly because of my 4 tips below....

* It is not mandatory for a uni to contain the color black.
* It is not mandatory for a uni to have stars on it.
* It is not mandatory for a uni to have rhinesones.
* It is not mandatory for a uni's crop top to come up to the collarbone.
