I know I will get blasted for this, but here goes...
I have a problem with a gym offering "special" treatment to one of its members. I struggle to pay for cheer, but I pay on time, my kid works to help pay for it also. If I could volunteer or my kid could volunteer to work at the gym instead of paying the monthly bill that would be great. If you offer these "special" compensations, you better offer them to EVERYONE in the gym. And the scholorships? Better make sure that the guidelines are clear as to how you can obtain a scholorship and make it available to everyone to apply. Otherwise you will have discontent amoungst your members. That goes for the fundraising too. Make it equal and available to everyone in your gym.
Oh I agree. Really I do. I was just talking about those parents who run in to problems, and have the best intentions of paying. Sometimes life hands you lemons.....
I am not saying that it should be a 'rule' but rather an option rather than NOT paying. Lack of paying could kill a small gym. I guess I was just thinking about a way to keep from getting in such a situation that you would be forced to pull your child because you just can't make a month or two work out.
But no, you are totally correct Parent. No gym can offer this to everyone. It wouldn't be fair to the business. But I am just saying to not run away from your bill, but rather talk to the director. Figure something out. You know?
If you own the gym, you take care of the details. Coaches are hired to coach not to clean and worry about all the other details. yes they might have to deal with parents because thats natural but the details, thats the owners job! GET WITH TI!
cheerforce has the right idea....take care of your coaches! We try our best to do the same. Its nice to see CF treating their coaches the way they should be!

everything from food to competition clothing is covered be our prgram director...to an extent, of course. You have to take care of your coaches and they will take care of you!!
I would say where I'm from but every time people start mentioning names of teams, it seems they get slammed on here. So for the sake of my gym, I'll keep my little mouth shut. Again, CF keep kickin butt and treating your coaches like they should be (its shows). Some gyms just don't get it!
