If you know someone is doing this then you should let them know that they will be turned in and they will be followed up with an ID check
Ditto that, put them on blast!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Well, maybe this is all another drama maker at work and none of this is really true. So why would we encourage this person to start putting up names and gyms when this is all rumor. Sounds like someone is just trying to create drama because there hasn't been enough within the last 12 hours on the boards.

I agree! But It probably is true so I guess we will all find out soon enough!
I don't want to cause any drama. I just think its really unfair for my team to have to compete against a team that we know has people that are to old. This team was at worlds last year and lots of people were talkin about people that were to old on that team to. Because they had birth certificats and picture IDs for the requirement no one could do anything. but some of their cheerleaders were talkin about how they got fake IDs. I just want everybody to play fair.
Please take this as good friendly advise, nothing else. You can only control what you do on your team. Concentrate on what you are doing and what you can bring to your team that is competing for a bid. Forget about all the other teams out there, whether they are cheating or not. It doesn't matter. Don't waste your energy. You need to focus on your team, on your skills, on your success. Nothing else matters. Stay focused!

But it's like asking a little league team not to worry that they're going against an illegal dominating pitcher who is older than he should be... it does control the outcome of the game (as we all remember from the little league world series years back). Older more experienced members who are not supposed to be competing could control the outcome, and that's not right. Not sure how you can check for fake id's though. I'm sure they have their hands full verifying all the others and the paperwork, etc...
sure but wrote: But it's like asking a little league team not to worry that they're going against an illegal dominating pitcher who is older than he should be... it does control the outcome of the game (as we all remember from the little league world series years back). It is up to the coach and gym owner to worry about an illegal player. Why would you want one or all of teammates worrying about it? My advise still stands. Stay focused on your team. Cheaters never end up winning in the long run.
And if this specific team has already been identified to the cheer company as noted in one of the posts above, they will focus on those documents and dig deep to make sure they are not fake.
I'm thinkin that there may be some things that we cant do anything about. Teams cheated last year and got away with it and probably will this year to. I know all I can control is me or my team, but it would be good if everyone played fair. Some gyms will do anything to win and probably no one can make them play by the rules.
Last year we were in that situation. My kid had gotten a repreive because of the age rule change. Yes my kid had graduated high school but was still 18yrs of age on August 31. There were a lot of kids that benefited from that rule change. The team my kid was on was challeged at a competition about some of the kids ages including my kids. The kids in question did produce the proper papers. All being well within the rules. We heard all year about kids not being proper ages or aging out. We now carry a certified copy of my kids birth certificate. It has a raised seal on it. It is sad that anyone would stoop so low as to fake a birth certificate. Personaly I was alittle upset that someone questioned my kids age but we had the proper ID. and the matter was handled by the comp. company in a very professional matter. My advice is to carry the proper paper work with you that way if anyone says anything you can show the proper people the documentation in question. Also don't assume someone is not the proper age.
I understand when there are kids that might look older or who are young for being Seniors, so they get to cheer for all-stars an extra year. But the team that I know about has people who are bragging that they are getting fake IDs. I dont like knowing they are using over age people, when my coach has made sure that we meet the age requirements. Its just not right that the worlds people can't make sure everybody is the right age.
There was a discussion some months back about wanting USASF to require registration similar to Little League BB or other sports that have age limitations. Most thought it was a great idea but that USASF didn't have adminstrative bandwidth to incorporate this into their organization. Yes, there would still be those few that cheat, happened recently in Little League, but it would be less likely and would help regulate the industry.
The only team thus far that isn't in the running for a "Paid" bid is GA. Eveyone else still has not received a paid bid. If SJS gets a paid bid, I would guess that they will not accept the unpaid bid that they received last weekend.

...and if SJS gets an unpaid bid at American Grand they won't except that since they already have an unpaid bid...thus begins the process of passing down bids, paid or unpaid.
I know, I just can't leave that topic of passing bids down alone. Sorry.
Are there really teams out there that are blatantly cheating?? And the kids are bragging that they have fake IDs in order to cheat??? This is seriously wrong and someone needs to get to the bottom of this. I hope that whoever this team or teams is gets turned in, if someone can prove that they are cheating. We all pay way too much money to be in all-star cheerleading to have college age kids competing on Senior teams. No 20 year old should be on a Senior team----USASF has some investigating to do!!
Last year American grand is where all the U of L cheerleaders came back to help out a previously not so great looking CA coed team. Will they be using the UofL cheerleaders again this year? Legal, maybe. I think this is one of the things that should be added to the usasf rulebook.
I agree. But, I don't see this as a big thing on USASF's agenda. But, if they had an agenda these are things I would like to see on it:
Minimum ages in the sr division. (the only thing on this list that I think might happen)
Cheerleaders can only be registered to one allstar gym per season as far as USASF sanctioned events (ex: college cheerleaders that help their old allstar team win bids to worlds, then compete with their local allstar gym at worlds)
No ringers, ie: you must be a regular competing member of a squad. Not just there for nationals or to win bids.
