Lets turn this message board around

Okay folks, with the holidays coming up I know everyone can find some good in themselves deep down inside. Let's all commit to ignoring the negatives and really talking up the positives in Nor Cal cheerleading. I will go first:

We competed this weekend and saw some awesome teams that rarely get mentioned on here! I absolutely love the Senior Level 4 team from Roseville Cheer Starz. They have a great elite sequence & good pyramid and those ladies really enjoy working their routine out! You ladies rock!

Anyone else have anything positive to say! Speak up!

Agree, I loved all three level 4 routines (Starstruck, Cheer Xplosion, Roseville All Starz). Starstruck had the cleanest, but the other two were very creative. Cheer Xplosion had great tumbling!

Roseville has a good youth team, they usually do well. Level 3 division was fun to watch too. I'm not a fan of hip hop, but the routine with the masks was one of the most creative I've seen in a while.

My third time seeing Starstruck's lev 4. They win because they're consistent, they stick their stunts everytime. The other two smaller gyms had good routines, they just need to clean them up. I'm sure they'll get stronger with every competition. It's a tough division. Same with lev 3, another clean routine by Starstruck. They're starting off great this season.

We competed against Maximum Cheer and they were GREAT!!! Their Coed Small lvl 4 was very very strong! And Titan Elite is doing so much better this season! Hope they keep it up!!!

Many great things

Lots of "hats off" things so far this season:

Cheer Odyssey for going level 5 coed and refusing to water it down a level just to make things easier for themselves. This is the time of year when a lot of teams start dropping levels if they haven't been doing well, but they did the opposite and I commend them for that.

Cheerforce for setting the bar high early in the season. I never fail to be amazed by the talent and creativity.

Fierce for going out there and working that routine to within inches of its life every single time.

Airborne for working through injuries and still looking fabulous.

Motions for starting off the season with not necessarily the most difficult routines, but really good clean stuff. Consistency pays off.

RC Club Cheer for having my favorite uniforms so far this season.

Cheer Divas for bringing a totally new style of routine to Northern CA and making it work.

POWER for being consistently in the top every single time with every single team.

Gold Star for working those hip hop routines.

Athletic Perfection for really stepping it up this season in all their routines. Every routine at every level looks great.

Cudos to NCE for getting back in the gym and working through all the necessary changes and working hard to have a great routine for American Grand.

Serior Level 3 was an very competative division! Everyone looked great! I believe the results were:
1.Starstruck
2.Cheer Divas
3.Gold Star
4.Roseville
There were 6 teams in the division!

Yes, kudos to NCE. Let's add Starstruck to the list of gyms who are stepping it up. They don't get mentioned on this board often, and this year their teams have brought it, good for them!

Last Saturday at Jamz it seemed to me the three sr. level 4 teams brought something different to the floor: Starstruck had a solid routine, clean, sharp. CheerXplosion had nice layouts, energetic fast moving dance. Roseville had nice flexibility, creative stunts. All three were fun to watch. Level 3, I enjoyed watching Cheer Divas, even though Starstruck had the sharper routine. There's something about their routines (Divas) that really stand out, and it's not just their uniforms. Oh, don't know if anyone mentioned the Cheer Odyssey fan base, but they were great (loud, very supportive).

This post made me want to put the challange out. Come on parents lets see who can be the biggest, loudest, fan base out there. POWER.... Odyssey, Cheergyms.com, NCE, AP, Fusion.... who is it going to be? :)

That's weird because I was thinking the same thing. I remember when we were with youth cheer there was a spirit award of some sort for the gym that had the loudest fans in the stands. It would be fun to see how loud we can all get. The hard part is always trying to get a whole section for your gym, especially with all the flack about saving seats. It just takes some creative planning, and if POWER and Cheer Odyssey can do it, we should all make an effort!

I would just like to say thank you for all of the positiveness (is that even a word haha) coming from all of you guys. I am a coach for Cheer Starz and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO happy to see you guys complementing our teams! I wish you all good luck this season .. and I cant wait to see more from your teams this year!

I totally agree with you about staying on the positive, and not being negative toward other teams. It seems like alot of these big gyms are so ****y not respecting all the smaller teams. All these smaller gyms are proud of their teams and we all should respect eachother.Keep all your opinions positive and lets all just cheer for eachother instead of picking eachother apart. Remember all us big gyms were small before. Some gyms are not as advanced as others, but we shouldn't put them down. We should back eachother up because we all represent Northern California. Everyone have a great Cheer season and good luck to all!
