This team isn't meant to be a competitive team.

If the team is not competitive then maybe the team should only be for kids that are aging out.

Shawn wants to make two teams. One jr team and one sr team. The teams will not compete at all. He wants to use them to lure more people to some event to raise money for kids with special needs. Another poster on pro x I believe wanted to make it a state vs state comp. The best from each state head to head, but no one has said anything more on that topic. So as far as I am concerned it's for the best In ca and no one will be competing at any comps. They will just be putting on a show and have a lot of fun in the process.

check out the prox message boards.. thats where it started. it IS simply a fundraiser for special needs teams. plus it will be totally fun!

Spread the word to all the gyms you know in California, especially if they have skills and can possibly make the team.

Things we would need help with are going to be setting up fundrasiers all over California.... Also if anyone knows of any corporate sponsers that would like to help. We are raising this money to help build stronger and add more special needs programs to the state of California.....

We are setting up the organization called "A Special Cheer for Everyone".....

yes, I agree! The videos should all reach Shawn on the 15th, and then all be posted at the same time! That would be fair.

I am proud Momma of Caitlyn, or Cait as most people know her, one of the NCE girls "nominated" to this team and would love to see it happen. I actually had thought about it before as I was amazed at what Power and Motions have done within their own organizations are far as Dream Teams go. Please send me more info and we will definitely try to make it work. Thanks for the honor and for the thought of including her. She has worked very hard, and I am very proud of her!!

I've read this whole thread and scoured the ProX boards and I must have missed something. Usually my radar goes off when someone posts about the special needs teams.

Ugh! I've flipped through 6 pages of threads to find the one where Shawn from Cheerforce posted about starting a performance team of the best in California. All those interested in being on the team would send in videos, then we vote, then the team performs at a fundraiser to help special needs.

I know Shawn posted more details on the pro-x board, but I can't find it quickly on there either.
