I dont think anyone said that you won cause of luck. You deserved your first place win. Hold your head high. You should be proud of your team and all of their hard work. Dont let others discourage you.
We've all had our share of comments on this and other message boards. The trick is to take something from them and put it out on the floor. Turn the negatives into positives. We don't ignore comments made about our team, we take them as they're presented. You can tell when it's constructive criticism and when it's just someone trying to bring you down.
I was very entertained by Odyssey's level 5 team last Saturday. They deserved to win. In my opinion it was a combination of their clean performance, and mistakes made by their competition. You'll see different competition this Saturday and you'll know what you need to do to go against level 5 teams who have been around for a while. Good luck to you and to the others!
I agree. I love watching Cheer Odyssey. Very entertaining. I love their dance part. I wish you luck this competition against the other coed level 5 teams. I know it's going to be a hard competition since the other coed level 5 teams have more guys and from what I have seen are very strong teams. I wish all teams competing the best of luck. Go out there and do your best and just have fun.
Yes, do your best, you'll do fine. At Jamz and America's Best, large went against small, so the number of whoever (males, females) on your team shouldn't matter if you have the skills it takes. A lot of competitions don't have limited vs. unlimited. I don't think Jamz Nationals divides it that way, I'll have to look at last year's results. We have small teams that lose to large teams all the time, it's just something we have to deal with and try to overcome.
Thanks Nicole for the nice compliments. We are just a team that just competes and has fun. Our gym is like a family, we are all there for all our teams and don't put alot of pressure on our kids. It's not all about the trophies its about people with a common goal working hard to get better and gain many friendships along the way.We have great parent support and everyone is positive minded. Good luck to you (Airborne)for the rest of the season and Happy Holidays! I wish there were more people like you that are positive to all the cheer teams. Everybody good luck at GSSA this weekend. Hey everybody try to stay positive on the message boards.
