Based on other posts from Airborne coach they are evaluating the Sr team early in the season at level 4 and hoping to move up to level 5. At least I think that is what I remember reading somewhere on these boards.
Thank you for all of your interest in our program. Yes we are competing Level 5 for both our Juniors and Seniors at this next competition. This year I have raised the bar of what I expect from our level 4/5 athletes and I want to make sure that before they compete level 5 that they have hit there personal goals as a team so that we will be strong at the national level.
Yes you could look at our Senior 4/5 team and say 'why arent they a senior 5 team with all that tumbling?' Technically having only half the team with standing backs and only 8 or 9 fulls does not constitute level 5 anymore, at least at the Nationals level. So we have decided to do what is best for our kids and program and let them progress through the season in hopes that they will stand up to the challange of being a true level 5 team. Of course tumbling is not the only thing to look at. We are trying to improve our stunts as well.
At this competition we have kids throwing skills in front of a crowd for the first time and that to me is an accomplishment in itself. Our coaching staff is very proud of our kids and we wish them the best of luck this season. Goodluck to everyone else too!
ps. We did have a coed 5 team last year.....One of the boys is now coaching for us and the other is helping out this weekend at Jamz. Our other coed team is level 3.
