Welcome WCM ATL and WCM Ted to the message board. Hold on to your hats and take things with a grain of salt. This board can be brutle. Its nice to get more teams reading and responding on the boards. Makes it more intereting.
Good luck this weekend and represent California with all your heart. We need as many California teams as possible at Worlds!
Good Luck wrote: I was amazed last year at how the San Diego teams cheer each other on. WCM, CA and Champion (now So Cal) all seem to be supportive of each other and do not talk bad about each other behind their backs. That is great sportsmanship and I hope the whole state can become like this. We are all working hard to be the best we can be. Lets just appreciate each other and hope for the best!
what a joke. Mavericks cheering outlaws on?? OR the other way around. dosnt happen. ever. You must be watching them from a farrr away distance (all the way in nor cal) haha. I dont think that will ever happen and people up here seem to be more concerned with sportsmanship between teams. to prove my point... no so cal teams have a message board like this b/c it would be ridiculous. they just have guest books where you must log in most of the time. anyways. yea we should be nice to other people but cheering on your rival team is un-necessary and people get way too concerned with that in cheer.
i saw a post "Agreed, all California cheer teams need to be supportive of each other (Especially when comments from EAST COAST CHEER say that cheer teams from California are a joke).
Rather than putting other teams down, we need to be rooting them on and hoping that more teams from california can get bids and break into the top 3 at worlds."
Last year cheerforce from so cal got third. Isn't that "breaking into the top 3????"

Yes, I know CF got third. I guess I should have put an emphasis on "MORE".

Mavericks and CA only started to cheer each other on when they found out Socal was hiring all the Outlaws coaches and they both felt threatened. Let's see how well they get along this year.

It goes back further than that, but it does really all boil down an us against the outlaws thing, that much is obvious.

waaaay more entertaining to watch and way more talent.
the end.
Probably posted by someone that is trying to stir up controversy between the two gyms. Maybe their from EAST COAST CHEER. lol
Whatever... both are amazing powerhouse programs. Healthy competition is good, it keeps the other team on their toes. Just ask Cali Allstars after they competed against CF at Jamz. That will be a back and forth battle all year long. Makes for exciting entertainment for us spectators!
I agree with this one. I thrive on healthy competition and wanting to win. It brings out the best in each program. But everyone should remember that if, for example, you are not placed where you hoped to place at the end of a competition or don't get a bid for worlds and some other team does then that's where good sportsmanship comes in and the time comes to cheer others on. Those who come out on top and/or win worlds bids should be the ones to cheer for others the loudest. (yeah I know, it's not a perfect world but its wishful thinking) ;)

I'm not putting Cheerforce down, they did great last year and they're off to a great start this year. But, all I ever hear about is their 3rd place finish at Worlds. Didn't American place 3rd at Worlds 2 years in a row...back when it was still only 2 divisions? I applaud Cheerforce's accomplishments, but lets not forget they were not the 1st California team to win a medal at Worlds.
You probably hear about CF more because worlds gets more attention and bigger every year. I dont think anyone is forgetting about American because everyone loves AMERICAN.
