Jamz doesn't have many regionals at all. Look at their website, they only have about 9-10 between the whole state. Compared to USA,NCA,Cheersport, and USA that is not many at all. Maybe people just couldn't fit it in their schedule. Get a grip and get off of it.
As far as it being a SCAM, you pay for registration/entrance fees. There are MANY other things that cost more than cheerleading. I can't believe sports events cost $150.00 to get in for BAD seats. High School Football games cost $5-7 bucks per person to sit on COLD bleachers. Those games get HUNDERDS of people. All those people who work the competitions need to get paid. Most convention centers/schools cost HUNDREDS of dollars to rent, not including security, insurance, staff, awards and others of overhead costs.
I think you might be missing the point here, I was just using Jamz as an example.....and personally I think that 9-10 regionals is about 5 to many for one state. However, I can't deal with ignorant cheer parents that live vicariously through their children. Or maybe your just a Jamz official? Hmmmm who knows. However, your the one defending them which means you are either a leader in this cult or a brainwashed member of the cult. You decide. However, you are the one on a cheerleading message board (cheerleading meaning a sport meant for girls and boys between the ages of 5-21ish, meant to be an activity in which these girls/boys compete for fun because obviously it doesn't have much influence on the world) at 2 in the morning.....as am I, but I think the difference here is that I'm one of the girls/boys that actively particpates (meaning goes to practices for hours on end during the week and competes at highly stressful competions) so who would know better then me on who's scamming who? With all do respect, practice on brainwashed cult member, practice on $$$$$

Me either. If you don't like Jamz, don't go to their competitions (or don't join a team that does). Lots of gyms like Jamz because it's a fun day for their kids. With the way so many Nationals are "open" now to anyone who pays the fees, regionals in general are pretty pointless, don't you think?
Oh wait, no. Because the kids get to compete and that's what matters.
If you look at the Jamz schedule for this Saturday in San Francisco, you'll see that it doesn't end until after 9:00 p.m. Most USA regionals are over by 2:00 in the afternoon, it seems. And most divisions do have competition. The only ones that don't are the level 5's. I think at regionals that's usually the case wherever you go; you might have two, at most three going against each other (level 5's).
I think Jamz probably could eliminate a few of their regionals, especially the ones in obscure areas that nobody wants to drive to. I also think they could separate the youth/high school and dance from the all star cheer for their regionals, which would give you more competition in each division. You want to go against as many teams at your appropriate level as possible before Nationals.
Yeah I wouldn't expect you to, you're on a cheerleading message board yet your a parent.
Who do you think pays for the cheer season not to mention the computer you are typing from dear? Smart parents check these things to know what is going on.

& no where does it say that it is only for the cheerleaders to use!! The majority of the people that use this board are the parents!! & aren't you suppose to be in school anyway???

Jamz ends late because they are unorganized. USA keeps their events rolling and Jamz stalls and has countless breaks. How many times can we watch their staff dance and tumble. Seriously it takes FOREVER. Thats why I stopped going to their nationals, it was insanity.
Have to disagree ... USA ends at 2:00 because nobody goes to their regionals. Just take a look at their schedules. Love Jamz Nationals, it's my favorite competition to go to. I will agree with you about it ending too late last year.

Jamz is your favorite Nationals! Wow, you need to really get out and experience some different companies. LOL

Yeah! Take at look at the USA Sunday schedule...how many teams are attending this competition? Not many=[
Now there's a great morale booster. Take your kids to a USA competition and compete against 0, 1, or 2 teams. Guarenteed placement there. =]
Just think, you could post the high placement on your team's website and everyone will think you teams are great.
I noticed Scream Team was on the schedule as Exhibition. What do you think of this team and comp companies allowing them to perform illegal skills (level 6 skills are reserved for 18+).
I took a look at the usa schedule for their next competition in Davis. Starts at 9:30, is over by 11 (for all stars). Then high schools are in the afternoon. They are mainly for youth and high schools. Most all star gyms stopped attending a while back.
