The American Grand is stacking up to be a better and better competition everyday. Just read on the Pro X board that not only is Cheer Athletics going but Georgia Allstars as well.
Sounds like the American Grand bids are going to be touch to get this year. Its great that more top level teams are going. But it makes it harder for those west coast teams that go to this comp to get their bids.
Can't wait to see the schedule! Especially in the Int'l Junior level (I'm assuming they are giving bids for that divison).

The one time I don't "preview post" and I have a spelling error. I meant to say "tough".
Yes, and they are only giving out Fully Paid Bids: 2 At Large Bids: 4 International Divisions At Large Bids: 2
To me - For a competition of this GRAND of a size they should be granted some more bid giving... I mean it is close to Christmas and all... hahaah.... why not be giving during the holidays? (only kidding of course) But really, they should definitely be giving out more bids at this competition, like the size of CheerSport in Georgia's bids giving.
My understanding is each competition gets bids based on how many teams register from the previous year. Cheersport is HUGE! so they get lots of bids. American Grand increased their attendance last year so this year they got more bids. So the only way they get more next year is to have higher registratin this year. Sounds like they will, but I don't think it will ever be as big as CheerSport.
Last year CA just brought their large senior and so did top gun. I havent heard of top gun teams coming this year but its a possibility. I think we are just going to have to wait and see! We all know once cheer althletics starts something, everyone and their mom wants to follow.
Does anyone else think that the world champions should stay at the "world class" competitions and let teams like power, american, and cheer force all worlds contenders get a chance for their bids?
I think American Grand is a world class comp. As for Cf they came in 3 at worlds and this year they are even better! Cf, Power Cali Allstars and American are all worthy to stand with Ca and all the others. Don't underestimate the California teams you might eat your words.
Well, last year Cheer Athletics brought both their small all girl and large all girl and I think they are both coming back this year. According to the Pro X board all of the Georgia All Star teams are going.
they just got their bid at whatever comp they just attended .. so then why are they going ALLLL the way to Laas Vegas to get a bid when they have already gotten one?
American Grand is a great competition. Maybe they just want to try competing in a different part of the country. It doesn't always have to be about the bid.
I'm sure they have already paid for their comp.fees,airfare.and hotel. So now all they have to win is the national champion title. It will probably be between them,Mavericks and California Allstars for the senior lg coed unlimited national champion title.
