Fierce allstars

Okay I was really interested in how ALL the fierce teams looked and what everyones opinion of them was. I was starting to get a feel for the first day but I got nothing on the second day because the boards went to the dark side.

I enjoyed their performances. They had good skills, cute dances and GREAT energy. They need to clean it up a little but they sure were fun to watch!

They had great stunts and energy but jumps weren't that good, timing was off on dance, and they are not clean. It honestly depends on what team you are talking about too.

I think everyone needs to realize how early it is in the season. Timing, tumbling and stunting will get cleaner and more impressive as the year goes on. You don't want to peak to early or you will be out of the running at the big comps! Why don't we all lighten up and cheer everyone on instead of talking about everyones negatives.

These athletes work really hard!

As far as I am concerned, it is the season and you need to be ready to compete! The season represents competing. The PRACTICE is during summer and in between. Everyone has the same schedule to follow, so everyone should get better. so what is the difference? If you getbetter and you beat us, even if we get better you will still beat us! Every comp counts. It is not cool to minimize some as too early if you went and competed! Boy, that argument drives me crazy, lol.

same schedule?

To say everyone has the same schedule to follow is ridiculous. Gyms have choreography at various times ... some early, some late. Some don't have their first competition until December, some start in October. Different styles... some like to start off with what they have and improve/add along the way, giving teams experience on stage. These are the teams you may see now who are still working out all the kinks, fine tuning their routines. Some are ready to go and have already perfected their routines, good for them. But the one thing they all have in common is hard working members who love the sport. They are trying the best they can, let's not shoot them down. Constructive criticism is fine, it's good for teams to see how they are perceived by others. Unfortunately many of the posts on this board and others are far from constructive, and have other motives. Can we possibly keep things on a positive note? Maybe with every criticism, add something positive?

I love watching Fierce and this question has nothing to do with them. This is the second post I have read today about the comment of a team peaking to early. The first one was on Pro-X under So. Cal. Could you explain to me the pittfalls of a team peaking too early because this does not make any sence to me and I mean you no disrespect when I ask you this question.
Thank you .

loved it.

I TOTALLY enjoyed Fierce on and off the mat. They were all really nice girls, and when they hit the floor they looked like they we're having tons of fun. I was wishing every team had that much energy and flare out there.

Yes, timing was off and some parts were a little sloppy, but nothing a little practice can't fix. =)

GOOD JOB LADIES!

Fierce is one team I would really like to see at Worlds. When I saw them their first year I was amazed at the flexibility of the flyers. I hear they still posses that trait and would love to see them get a bid.

No offense but FIERCE had plenty of time. Was that said because Airborne was messy at the POWER competition? Makes you think huh.

i love how nice these girls are.
i was surprised how at awards the fierce girls were telling us "good job" rather than being poor sports.

wouldnt this cheer world be so much nicer if they could be a little more like fierce?
keep it up ladies!

I agree that we did have issues at the Power competition and believe me we are working to clean things up. I am just stating that the first time out of the gates is stressful for many people. Alot of kids are trying new skills in front of people and we need to give them a break.

Please respect the hard work that the kids, parents and coaches put into this sport. Unless you are a cheerleader that has never made a mistake, you have no room to critique or judge anyone else.

Fierce was ok. Their flexibilty is good, but overall they are really sloppy. Nationally they won't place well because of how sloppy their transitions and motion sections are. That won't change over time because it's their style. They are just wild. It's a good style, but doesn't win larger events.

i love them to death but thats completely true..their wild style is super fun to watch..but it wont score high at more traditional venues that are big on sharp and cleaness like UCA and GSSA. If they cleaned up everything they'd do pretty well against good teams because their tumbling is improving ( consideriing this is only their 3rd year ) and their stunts are very solid and sharp..and their flyers flexibility is great.

No, I think this would be true at any competition about Fierce. Last year at the American Grand they placed pretty low in their division and their style was the same. They need to clean up their transitions and tumbling. Half the girls they have are from RC club cheer, so they most came with the tumbling.

I believe each program has their own approach or philosophy when it comes to "cleaning up" a routine. Some coaches focus on it from the get go and will not move foward until each portion each clean. Others prefer to come back and clean it up. Not saying one is right over the other.

I also believe routines can be cleaned up easily. But it is not so easy to have a routine with great entertaining choreography, that is fun to watch and a team that brings energy to the floor.

I have seen Airborne and they have great routines that are fun to watch! Sure they can use a little cleaning up, but I am sure they are working on it. From what I am hearing on these boards Fierce is the same. Although I have not seen them this year.

As most of you say, Fierce is sloppy. For our level 3 team, they are not sloppy. They have worked super hard this season and it showed, beating out four other very good all stars gyms for spot number one. My level 4 team needs some cleaning up, and probably need the most cleaning up out of the whole program. As for level 5, a lot of those girls are very young and new to the program. They still have some learning. That is why we placed our next competition over a month from now, so that our girls will be ready to clean up after a performance in San Jose. And that's exactly what we'll do. We're throwing in some new basket toss sequences, adding more difficulty in tumbling, and changing our motions and transitions completely. Actually the transitions were really never finished. The level 5 team is throwing a 3/4 of the way finished routine, and like I said... that's why we have a month ahead of us to work on those things.

And comon, I watched a big portion of the teams both days, and there wasn't one team that I thought was super clean and ready for any competition out there. Right? Everyone had some super duper cleaning up to do in one section or another.

I guess what I'm thinking is that it's better to be sloppy in a motions section (where the score sheets were in the high 80's low 90's anyway) than to drop a stunt. Right?

Our teams have really come up considering that we never got a gym until this past June 2006, working out in the local parks, and never really thinking we'd amount to anything.

We've gots lots of work to do, we know it and so do tha girls, but that's what we're doing. :)))
