Yes, I want to hear what anyone thought of Fierce. This is there first competition. I heard Sr L4 was supposed to have their signature stunt sequence that level 5 used to do.
It was fun! Lots of good teams showed up. And it was so nice to FINALLY go to a competition where all the teams had uniforms. (i'm tired of seeing teams perform in practice clothes.)
Fierce was amazing. but i wouldn't expect anything less from those girls in pink! (yes, their level 4 team does the "old" level 5 stunt sequence.)
There was a bunch of other good perfomances. However, there was also some performances that i wasn't to amazed by from teams that i was expecting more out of.
LETS SEE WHAT TOMORRO HAS IN STORE FOR ALL THE TEAMS! GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!!! =)
Senior 3 - looked really good, had some tiny top girls , jumps a little messy but dance was really fun and had a lot of variety.
Senior 4 - Kinda had a rough performance. Yes they did the ' opera ' stunt from senior 5 , but they did not rotate it to the floor. They just had the same music and did the scorp and the chin chin. Personally this is the third year seeing it and they used the same music. I know its the signature but at least change the music.
Senior 5 - crazy talent just a little raw in the tumbling. Nice flexibility from the tops. Awesome creative dance.
Nor Cal Elite :
I feel that every team that competed besides their level 5 teams should of been in a level lower than they were.
Junior Coed 4 : Has a really cute routine but only 3 or 4 out of 19 had standing tucks and only those 3 or 4 had layouts. Very pretty lines in the air. Good stunts.
Senior 4: They have good clean stunts but again only 2 or 3 girls threw layouts and they looked piked and forced. Even the tucks thrown did not look solid. They have potential.
Senior All girl 5 : Super cute routine, nice triple jumps into tucks. About 7 fulls, visual pyramid and good transitions in the pyramid. Looking good.
Coed 5: I have seen this routine twice. The first time was in SF and most people want to forget about that one. But this time was a lot cleaner but they are still having some tumbling issues as well as issues in the elite section. The routine seems slower than the old Southbay standard, but in a good clean way. The only thing that I noticed is that the kids did not seem into the routine at all. No engergy like the old days with the Mike, Danny and Calvin. I think once the kids learn to perform it it will be much more exciting to watch.
Oh and nice ending pyramid section.
Athletic Perfection:
All teams looked sooooooo good at this comp. I really like Senior Novice's performance. You ladies rocked it this time.
Youth level 3 was really strong too along with Senior 4!
I love the new energy that this team has this year! You ladies rock.
I didn't really consider the ending to NCE's (coed) routine a pyramid. more just like 3 diffrent stunt groups. And maybe it was just me, but did anyone else see that there wasn't a dance in their routine??
The reason why a lot of NCE's routines didn't have a dance section was that Roy didn't get a chance to videotape, learn, and teach them someone else's dance just yet; the way he does with everything else his program has. Not trying to be mean, just truthful, and offering my two cents.
And definetely was not impressed with NCE teams level 5 was good but sbe has been better in the past n definetely all girl level 4 should have been level 3 they dont have the tumbling for level 4 n i dont think that their routine was even done yet.. Fierce was good but they looked tacky walking around in sports bras n their skirts are worn way too low it was not attractive AP looked good they were very clean
n to someone a few comments up there was teams without uniforms.. and i didnt really like how the seating was all level n people were rude about walking in front of people trying to watch the competition.
Well thats all... GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE TOMORROW!!!!!! : )

WOW, does someone have a case of SPIRIT FINGERS? MEOW! Too funny.
So, Was NCE improved from the past 2 comps or not? I thought I read here that some of the team had changed gyms so I was wondering what kind of impact that had and if this year is looking to shape up to be a good one or not. Can they be competitive against the likes of Cheerforce or California Allstars.

Without some sort of miracle, not this year. The talent is just not there, and the kids that are talented that are left are just not clutch performers. They choke, fall, bail out of stunts and make other crucial mistakes.
Like the above comment mentioned, the coed level 5 team from NCE lacks energy. Skill wise they are still far behind cheerforce and CA. Their is no wow factor in their routine. I liked the Small Senior 5 team much better.
So if the coed from NCE is not going to be competitive in California how about the all girl team. How do they stack up against Bullets, American or Fierce?

Why would you post something like this before they compete again tomorow? Even if all this is true or not you have to realise the athletes on these teams will come home tonight and probly go on these boards to get a feel for how they did and see this, would you want your son/daughter reading this before they have another day to compete?
I have it on good authority that all of the NCE boys pretty much hated it and are now commuting to practic with CA. Take it for what you will, but sisters, NCE is going downhill.
