what can we do .. becides win the lottery?? focus was my life, and now its gone
being at any other gym is not even close to the same as being a part of the focus family, or even the whole cheergyms family

So ,while others are complaining about petty uniform changes. Here is something that really needs to change.T he closing of the Focus cheergym.

It needs to be reopened ASAP.

There are so many people willing to volunteer, and there were so many parents who were heavily involved in it that would jump back in- in a second.

I would think there was a good reason it closed (from a business standpoint) ... have things changed (guarantee of enough members and $$$ to keep it open)? I wonder if a gym has ever closed one year, reopened the next?

I agree, we miss Focus so much. I think that Focus was just ahead of its time. Cheer in this area is slowly starting to become a sport and not just an after school activity. I know that a lot of the girls just gave up cheering because they or their parents were unable to make the several hour (in traffic) commute to Motions. Once you have been part of the Cheergyms.com family it is hard to go to another gym where the rules and expectations are not the same and unfortunatly in this area those standards are not available in a near by gym. I too hope that Focus will some day re-open.

I agree that Focus was INCREDIBLE and most of it was because of the awesome staff--I say I would only go back if the same staff was able to come back--they are what made Focus such a great program. I don't know if I would go back if the staff did not come back. Just my thoughts.

if you didnt want it to reopen you shouldnt have wasted your time posting.

because there are those who do care about focus and their staff
but i have to agree,
if the staff didnt come back..or part of it,
i dont think i could either.

its the focus staff that made everyone feel so welcome like it was a second home.

i want focus back :D

Please take notice everyone from 720. We will also feel this way next year. Cheergyms is a GREAT FAMILY to be long to. We should find away to keep our gym. Where there is a will there is a way.........My Daughter loves cheer. We can all go somewhere eles but it will not feel the way 720 does.

Danny and Morton have made NO decisions in regards to closing gyms and/or opening new gyms. Lets not get into crazy speculation.

Hi Everyone!!! This is really touching to see how many people miss Focus. As you all know I put my heart into opening Focus and when we had to close our door in the spring it was very hard to do. I miss everyone so much! All the parents, kids, and staff....our gym was really an amazing place to be.

Re-opening Focus is definitely something that can be considered in the future BUT it will cost a lot of money. I think a more realistic approach would be to form a team or two and rent out a facility to practice. Re-opening the gym without 100 kids signed up right off the bat is impossible. So spread the word, if enough kids are interested...who knows, maybe we can form another team down the road. I know Danny and Morton are always open to ideas and suggestions. If someone wants to put together a list of kids interested please do so. I can be reached at kelly@cheergyms.com.

I think we are due for a Focus reunion? Any parents interested in making this happen? Let me know!
