Wow, I feel like I've been gone for such a long time! Lots of traveling has shown me many of the new looks from all around the country this season! As the season progresses I'll be sure to give you all updates and tips from various competitions.
To answer one of your questions.... YES, I'll be attending at least 4 nationals this year, all around the country! I can't wait to see what some other teams have brought!
The latest and greatest (of course, in my opinion - so take it for what it's worth) in uniform fashion creations comes to you this season from World Cup's Shooting Stars team! Spirit Innovations did an amazing job designing this look specially for the ladies who hail from the state of New Jersey, and World Cup did not waste any expense in ordering it! For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, or if you need a visual, check out the Shooting Stars photo section of their website! Wow... talk about original, flashy, and creative - truly the look of the modern all-star cheerleader! The top is constructed of MotionFlex-style fabric with slashes of black and white used to accent the shooting star on the neckline. Incorporating the star into the neckline and still maintaining the integrity of a traditional midriff top with a square neck is difficult to do, and very creative! The only thing I don't really agree with is the use of sequin striping, however, with the fabric choice and logo option, this is one of the very few places it'll work! Keeping the colors simple and the dark color panels off to the sides, gives this top a look of class, refinement, and places emphasis on the athletic figures of the girls on this top-notch team. The design of the skirt is also one that deserves applause! Very unique slashes of color and the use of a star (not a cut-out one) ties the skirt in very well with the top, and the use of a standard waistline with striping is so much more flattering than a v-waist when used with a top such as this one. Finally, to bring interest to the uniform, no expense was wasted on the tri-tone tackle twill lettering across the chest and down the right sleeve, finished off with a star! Appropriate length for all-stars, and side slits in the skirts for those beautiful overstretches make this uniform a hit in my book! I wish I could take credit for this creation, but I can't. Your uniform gets a score of 9!
And now, for the poster who seems to think I have no class, and come across as uneducated, I've decided to help you out a little by gramatically correcting your posting, so that people who read it can understand what you're trying to say:
_____________________________________________
"First of all.... Who made you "fashion police"? This is cheerleading, not hookers on parade, as you'd like to see. Second... My guess would be that you work for a uniform company, and are trying to drum up business by being rude and showing no class. That's right - I said "class". Cheergyms kids/ young adults have enough class, confidence, talent, and spirit to be above such a tacky way of dressing. Third.... The emblem that you so ignorantly referred to has been copied by other gyms, and is a symbol of strength and success that works for both genders. Any intelligent human being can see that. Fourth.... If you're not a begging salesperson, then you're obviously a pervert who needs to stay away from all the kids and our message board. Fifth.... I'd much rather the kids look Amish. At least the Amish are smart, hard-working people, and our Cheergyms family is proud to be held at such a high level of comparison. LIKE I SAID, THIS ISN'T HOOKERS ON PARADE FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT!
I hope you readers have a good laugh reading the corrected version, and comparing it to the original posting. I know I did!
Now, for someone who wants to come across as remotely intelligent as yourself, I would recommend that you take a few grammar classes on the side; possibly while your daughter/son is at cheer practice! And while you're at it, a few courses in anger management might not hurt as well! Oh, by the way, whoever told you that the use of the word "hooker" on this message board demonstrates true class, has obviously lied to you.

hahahaha.... so dissed! i wonder if the uniform police can recommend a style and fabric for these amish moms who are hating big time. i'm thinking something along the lines of burlap and flannel accented with an apron and clogs. no bows with this uniform, they prefer bonnets.
