maybe....just maybe...politics placed a role in this one. Heard some of current/past JAMZ staff were representing competitive clubs at this competition.
Honestly, CG should have taken the grand champion this year! Can't wait to see them in the next few months! That are going to be amazing! Looks like you are headed back to worlds again...way to go!
I think Cheergyms.com looked really good this competition. Yes stunts didn't hut and tumbling busted, but 95% of the teams at this comp and jamfest looked about the same. I really liked Pyramids small senior level 5 team. Lots of good sections in there. I also have to say the Cheergyms staff is very nice too!!
Like gymnastics, if you have been around the cheer world long enough you realize coaches work for usa, jamz, etc. They all judge different comps. To say favoritism is wrong-your sounding like GSSA bashers last year. Great job to Starstruck Sr level 4- liked the routine.
Kelvin from Jamz has SWAT All Stars and Geno from Jamz has the North Bay Athletics team. I didn't really see any favoritism toward their programs though. I thought their teams placed where they should have and SWAT is getting better each year I see them. They are both great guys and it seems run great programs and I wish them the best of luck this year!
calm down .. if someone doesn't liek the comp they dont liek it? and im sure its not jsut level 5 teams that were going for bids.. but were not gonna get into that utter nonsense again.
Teams that received the bids last year deserved them..take a close look at the routines..better yet watch the Worlds videos and you can see that they were well deserved..
What uh uh wrote: No not all those teams deserved those bids.
I was there but I wouldn't want to be a judge for that event all the teams did a bang up job. But the judges know more than you and I (that's why they get asked and we don't), so the right teams got the bids.

I thinks all the teams who got bids deserved them as well. After the comp there were many heated discussions on this board about who did or didn't get a bid. I think there was alot of bitterness causef by some teams who felt they were cheated. Everything from a bad scoring system to favoritism was brought up. I was there but re-watched the tape and still feel all the bids were deserved. This is a new year and here is your chance to prove yourselves on the mat. I wish all the teams good luck in this new competition season. It's time to let it go and move on. I hope you all shine.
Well, I am happy that this is a new season, but the scoring is going to be the same old thing!!! Throw out the score sheets. If the "judges" know you and like your program..then you will win. If they have no clue as to who you are....good luck !!
The bottom line is this, if gym owners and or coaches work for or are judges for other companies like USA, JAMZ, GSSA, ect.. we will continue to see unfairness. I feel that if you are a gym owner or a coach then you should have NOTHING to do with cheer companies such as USA, GSSA, JAMZ, ect.... smaller gyms will not have a chance going up against larger gyms who have coaches that work for these companies. Maybe we should have the comp companies divide yet again the teams between "professional gyms", those who work for the cheer companies & own a gym or coach for one, and "amateur gyms" for those gyms who do NOT hire out professionals!! NOW that would make it fair.....OMG, it would be back to were it was a few years ago !!!!! FUN !!! FAIR!!!! FUN !!!!!
For our gym...we love cheer, we love our girls and we will keep trying!!!! NO MATTER WHAT !!!!!
