I think that the coaches at Ultimate have the best interest of the kids at heart but I did see a lot of nca ish type things. I bet if you watch the best of the best dvd and the ultimate routine you would find similarities. On the other hand maybe their coach really thinks those things were his idea.
Ultimate Cheer n Dance had many elements that most nor cal teams won’t understand; just because most nor cal teams are so hung up on cookie cutter - clean is safe routes. Ultimate is a team I’m going to be watching because they are thinking out of the box… Can’t wait till they clean up and really hit there routines. I really enjoyed there energy. And WOW what awesome uniforms… (why do we talk Sh*t about so many teams… get off it)

Obviously we do understand it, because we notice it. It was like 5 different Worlds routines put together with music from other programs (not edited at all). Their uniforms are cute, but it would be better if they set their own style, not imitiate everyone elses. Honestly Nor Cal isn't cookie cutter, I didn't see many routines that looked alike. Example, Cheer Xplosion didn't look like UCF and vice versa. Stop using that crap as a catch phrase "everyone in Nor Cal" looks alike.
Well i didn't go, so I don't know what was done by them. However, I do know their coach and I know that he does and has worked for NCA some time now, so lets think about this. . . he PROBABLY has NCA style in him, so that's most likely what he's going to give his teams.
There was choreography in their routines directly ripped off from Worlds teams though. There were many times in their routines were I was like "Hmm....that looks familiar".
I dont see the problem with using material from the worlds routines as long as you can put your own spin on it. Those creative routines that we all saw at worlds were so fun to watch and as long as you change it up a bit then there shouldn't really be a problem. As far as using the same music the same rule should apply edit your music to fit your program.
This wasn't posted by a Cheer Force Coach. There are only 5 in the gym and we gladly put our names on postings and talk in a professional manner. Not saying ... LOL ... J/K ... etc. This posting sounds like it is from someone that is a lot younger then the coaches at Cheer Force.
lol first off i want to say congrats divas, keep up the good work......
I did 23 routines this year and my gyms routines were done last, people have more then one good idea lol...... Any way no one gets second or third rate routines from me...... Its what that certain team can handle.... I teach the routines its up to the coaches to make the magic happen.....
lol Sorry, I didnt know the message board was of such a high standard.... Anyhow I think your confused I'm not from your gym, I'm from Simi Valley......
Just stopping by to say congrats!! All of your teams were great and I wanted to let you know your teams are, and always have been an inspiration to my teams. My teams were on the side cheering you on when they should have been in the back concentrating on there own routine :) (senior level 3 co-ed) I also wanted to say thanks to all of your teams! they were very supportive, especially the motions co ed team that went on right before my Senior Hip Hop ..They were giving us tons of compliments and cheering us on!! We needed this a lot because prior to the competition we learned one of our dancers may not be able to continue dancing because of his heart condition.. So it was a very emotional competition..The comments from motions really gave them even more confidence and drive!! Last but not least Thanks to Derek! he is always very friendly to all of my coaches and my girls and always has something nice to say as well!! CONGRATS TO ALL OF THE CHEERGYMS TEAMS and we look forward to seeing you at future competitions.. GOOD LUCK YOU GUYS!

Being the first competition for a lot of teams, their routines are most likely a work in progress that will only get better. Some gyms like to start of high to see how they fair. Also I know this is true for some of the teams in our gym, girls will throw certain tumbling skills at practice but freeze up when it's time to do them on stage; that will also change in time. I liked Cheer Xplosion's routines, they just need work.
I enjoyed the level 5 routines from Motions and Pyramids, and I enjoyed Pyramid's Senior Co-ed Level 3 routine too, nice and clean. Enjoyed the routines from Sacramento Royal All Stars, I thought they always stood out over others. I agree with the other post about Cheer Diva's Level 4 Sr. Co-ed routine -- I thought it was entertaining, and clean (nice work on the stunts). Just more observations.
I think divas should have held onto their old coach and still had the new guy choreograph. They have always been clean but not this year.
Congratulations to all of the teams. I really think Nor Cal cheerleading has come a long way. Look out Dallas, here we come!

Didnt she coach their juniors last year? and they were a mess until after she was gone. There would be none of those junior-aged kids left if she were still there.
just an FYI i think the divas did an awsome job for it being their first competition. and for all you haters, this message board is for put ups not put downs.
nor*cal we have a comp. coming up lets step up the game and show em how its done!
