Isn't this the competition that SBE would also go to? Will NCE be there? That would be a great competition with most of the Bay Area teams represented.
Found some info. If you go to the Forms section on Powers web site you will find a link to "2006 Victory Cup Registration Form" which is the competition on Nov 5. Not sure why they aren't advertising it on their Competition section of their web site.
The Victory Cup Performance Schedule is now online @powercheerallstars.com (under forms). Thanks for the interest, can't wait to see everyone on November 5th.
The number of stunts you put up in a routine and dismount from those stunts based on your squad size. EXAMPLE…20 members should have 4 stunt groups, 5 stunt groups for 20 members is worth more points (assuming the same number of tricks were done by those groups).
Our competition has a total of 500 points possible.
1. There are 200 Points Possible for Technical Difficulty in a routine (strictly the skills done in a routine).
2. There are 300 points for use of those skills in a routine. There are 3 category judges looking at different aspects of the routine…Jumps/Tosses, Standing/Pass Tumbling, and Stunts and Pyramids (each area worth 50 points per judge, of whatever category they are judging). The other 50 points per judge is for choreography, overall presentation, music, etc. These judges are separate from the tech judges
3. Finally we have a deduction judge that will take away points for legalities, every fall, bobble, popped tumbling pass, or just someone spacing out and forgetting what they are doing or going.
If you have further questions I can be reached at powercheer@aol.com. The Blackberry is a little slow some times, but I will answer all of your questions.
I will put the score sheets, degree of difficulty sheets, and deductions sheet online tomorrow under forms for those truly interested. Knowledge is POWER!!!!
A lot of teams are not attending this one if you look at the schedule. More pop warner than all star. But the ones that are going should be entertaining.
I'm so excited for this Power competition. I love the sacramento convention center and I'm jazzed to see some of my favorite programs; Pyramids (totally appreciate their cleanliness) and Airborne (love their creativity).
UCF was level 3 on Sunday at Jamz, but they're listed as level 4 on the Power schedule. Wonder if it's a mistake or if it's a different team (or if they really are moving up a level). Good luck to them and to everyone competing; should be entertaining!
