Sounds like it's going to be a bonding trip for the team more then anything else. Traveling for a compcompeting together and going to an amusement park together. To make it a true bonding trip you might want to think of a way for the team to travel their together. I think that would help a lot also. Good luck.
WOW!!! It is sooo early to be thinking about competing right now I think that everyone is to busy working out all the kinks that they can so that when the 1st one comes around they are ready to bring. I cant wait. I wish everyone the best this season and hope that when the 1st one comes around that its is brought on by everyone.
Oh there gonna bond if they like it or not, lol they have 6 hours there and back on a charter bus...... Come to think of it i better pack some asprin.....
Or a sleeping pill that lasts 6 hours. The down side of that is teenagers like to play jokes on sleeping people and a coach sleeping, I don't think they would be able to pass up a prank on that one.
Let's help the CF kids think of some pranks to pull on thier funny coach !
Maybe they can block the bathroom door when he goes to use the bathroom or they can take pics of him if he falls asleep on the bus and post them on photo bucket for all of us to see.
Oh no.....those poor dumb cf kids better think this one through! This is the very beginning of a very looong season! Save the pranks for the end so your coach can't KILL you for many months! He may be fun at an amusment park, but just keep remembering those hot sweaty long long hard practices! LMAO
It's usually nice to have a first competition that's more about fun than anything else (low key, not much competition). I was surprised at how many level 4's there were compared to one level 3 (small senior); I think as expected that will be one of the most popular divisions this season, which will be fun to watch!
I find it interesting that another SoCal team, RC Club from Ontario, is coming to SF so early in the season. Too bad they won't have more competition since it appears to small attendance. Lots of level 4 Sr, so that should be intereting. That may be the division to watch this year.
It's unfortunate the level 5 coeds won't be going against each other, because I think that alone would make the trip worthwhile (not that it won't be fun anyway). It's too bad the unlimited couldn't drop to limited just for some competition, or vice-versa. But this is a problem every organization will have all season long, you just don't know when you sign up for a competition who is going. You have no way to know whether or not you will have any competition. So when people are down on a gym because they claim they hand pick competitions so they don't have to go against anyone, it makes no sense at all because unless you have a crystal ball, there's no way to know.
It will be the battle of the Grand Champs. NCE large coed vs. CF small coed. Who is truely better at what they are doing as of right now. It may change later in the season, but all that I know I'm traveling 4 hours to see it and I wouldn't miss it for the world.
It isn't just NCE aned CF going for the Grand Champion Award. It includes ALL Level 4 and 5 teams. And it isn't necesarrily the highest scoring team.
GRAND CHAMPION AWARDS JAMfest will also be awarding several teams with Grand Champion honors. Grand Champions will be selected by the panel of judges based on the best overall team performance (not necessarily by highest score). All cheer Grand Champions will come from Level 4 or Level 5. Each Grand Champion team will receive a SUPER-COOL Grand Champion banner! The number of Grand Champions awarded at each event will vary according to the number of registered teams.
