I felt that team was in loss of drive with december being so far away..... So last week we told them they had a new competition, and to our surprise they pulled so well together..... Then great america seemed to look fun ( with a spring floor) ...... So when we are done we can just have fun at the park, but they canceled it so we will be now at jamfest..... oh yes still going to the park sunday are there any good rides there.....
Yes, but it only has two really good roller coasters. There's a Nickalodeon part so don't forget your suits and water shoes. One coaster is exactly like the Silver Bullet at Knotts and the other is like Tatsu at Six Flags. Just not quite as big and long. There's a free fall one too, but it's kinda old. Bring sunscreen, there's barely any shade. And the food court near Nickalodeon with the chili bowls gives the most food for your money.
in case u didn't know we are NCE not SBE so perhaps it would suit u better to worry about ur own team as to worrying about what competitions we are gonna cancel or not. And since when did SBE cancel there first copetitions? this is news to me considering i was on SBE and our first comp was always scheduled to be marine world..and we always went to marine world...
Well, we don't care anyway, so thanks for the clarification....
Great America is ok. Don't go expecting an exciting park. It's smaller than Knotts I believe. It's no Six Flags, that's for sure. I am still bewildered as to why you would spend so much on such a yukky competition that most local teams don't even go to. Maybe you should pick a closer one and make a longer trip out of the money you would save? Just an idea. I mean, go if you really want to but don't say we all didn't warn ya. It will most likely be the last time you go. I guess everyone has to experience it for themselves.
Do you know if Jamfest parking is free? I can't remember from last year. Some of us might go check it out, I don't know. The folding chairs were not comfortable at all, and we pretty much had to stand to see. But for free it was fine. Just can't remember about parking; I'll check their website. If anyone knows, can you post? Thanx!
Jamfest will be at the Cow Palace and they usually charg $10.00 per vehicle. Jamfest has no control over that. The entrance is free, so that saves a bunch of money.
At Jamfest Cow Palace last year, I think the Grand Champ award went to a level 4 team, not a level 5. If I remember correctly. I tried to check but they don't post last year's results on their site, you have to request it through email. Last year's level 5 teams that attended were not that impressive, and I think it was because it was too early in the season (as someone mentioned). Hope the teams this year are more prepared! Some of us went just for fun to check it out (last year I mean). The little ones will like the entertainment, and I think I remember parent teams performing. Have fun!
I'm sure NCE and Cheerforce will not be all that impressive this early out in the season either. Not trying to be mean just putting it out there. I probably wouldn't expect too much from either of them. It's just so darn early for cali teams and like cheerforce coach said he was just trying to get them out of a lull.
Even if you're not trying to be mean, why even speculate? It's one thing to post that last year level 5's didn't look that impressive, because it's after the fact. But why try to predict how teams are going to do ... have you seen them practice their routines? Let's give them a chance. Both organizations are known for creative routines and amazing talent, I can't wait to see (or hear about) what they came up with.
Also, it was Cheer Xplosion's Level 4 team (from Livermore, CA) who won Grand Champs last year at the Cow Palace.
I am sure NCE and Cheerforce will have great routines but they are probably not smooth yet. I seem to remember both were rough around the edges at the dec. comp in vegas.
