I don't know if it was already said but what if there was a plain, blunt shirt that said CALIFORNIA on the front. black and white. or All about Cali, or you wish you were from CALI or something like that. but plain that people could wear to outside competitions (i.e. cheersport, NCA, UCA, Worlds... wherever, even comps in cali)
it would be the easiest and most efficient way to get the most participation out of all the teams in california in my opinion, therefore bringing cali together which is what alot of people are looking towards right?
Yea, that would work, but coordinating it (putting it together, selling it, etc...) might not be easy. Maybe the best way would be to get the word out to gyms how fun it would be to have California listed somewhere on their t-shirts, whatever they may look like (this was suggested earlier). Some of the younger teams aren't competing out-of-state, but they're competing in various parts of California, so I think it would also be cool to be even more specific and say Northern CA or Southern CA to wear when we're at different parts of the state. I'm picturing something like "Hey From Southern CA" or "Hey From Northern CA", with their gym name on the front or back along with it. Or something cooler and more creative than that. You get the idea. That way the younger teams who don't travel as much can participate too.
Well, I appreciate your effort. I thought it was a great idea......you gave it an honest try. Why people have to be so nasty I just can't understand their thinking. Some of the readers took something that could've been positive and turned it into something negative. I think the t-shirt, or whatever, would build a sense of "Caliornia Comraderie" and be fun. It would be fun to "Cheer" California teams on, instead of this negative wasted energy that seems to always happen whenever someone comes up with an idea to bring us all together. Too bad...I think a "California" T-shirt would be awesome for ALL Calif. teams to wear when they compete out of state. Maybe put "California" on the front to the shirt and your gym name on the back, or vice versa. Oh well, I guess our way of thinking is in the minority. Good luck to you and your gym. Hope to see you in Atlanta!!
