I was just able to purchase airfare for $415 each (including a rental car and lei greeting) from Northwest airlines vacation package. Two of us went together on the package because buying four tickets brought the average price per person down (it was about $450 each when I priced it for just two tickets - which is still cheaper than any "airfare only" I've found) and they allowed me to split the purchase on two credit cards.
