i used to like quakes but i haven't seen them in about 3 or 4 years. their cheer was cute. but that happens.

Oh, I loved quakes! They were the first team I looked up to when we first started cheer. American, champion outlaws, ca allstars, mavericks and now cheerforce. Those are the names that make you excited to be going to a comp in so cal!

I loved them too. I think we were all yelling "rattle rattle shake shake" after seeing them. I hope they're still around.

I agree with the five teams you mentioned as being the exciting ones to watch in so. cal (American, Outlaws, CA AllStars, Mavericks, and Cheerforce).

I never put CF down. I just simply said they are not a power house yet. I said they havevan amazing team. Their other teams are good but not as good as the other power houses around. If you base power houses off of one team then you are going to have alot of power houses. I hold Cheerforce as 2nd best in cali. First is Cali all stars. So they aren't bad, but a power house is so much more then just having a good team. You all place your knowledge on one comp...Worlds. Yes Worlds is a great comp, but only one team went there. I base my knowledge on every comp. They have an amazing program and I'm sure in a few years they will be known as a power house, but right now they aren't quite their yet.

They've been falling apart for a few years now. They seem to pull it together for a couple of months but then people leave again. I don't think I would put my kid in a place where people come and go faster than a supermarket!!!!

So are the top teams in Southern CA (ca allstars, cheerforce, mavericks, champion outlaws, american) going to American Championships in Anaheim in March? I hope so!!

Just heard av cheer (california storm )closed there doors. Don't know exactly when but it seems like just in the last couple of weeks. So sad when a gym closes it's doors.

I think I remember them, didn't they have teams called things like Thunder, Lightning? What did av stand for?

It is sad when gyms who appear to be successful close down. It's scary because you realize it can happen to anyone.

It sure looks like that is what's happened. I remember Supreme Cheer's Level 4 team. They were strong last season, and now if they're picking up cheerleaders from av, they should be even stronger this season. One gym's loss is another gym's gain. Welcome to the world of all star cheerleading!
