And I always split CA in 3.... funny how everyone is so different. But if we had to split it in two, I guess Fresno would be a good divider. It's pretty much in the MIDDLE of no where.... hehehehe
O.k. - I wont start up gain but you know these boards start heating up when I make a few comments about the great Twister program- Just let me know when all you people want to start having fun again. These boards are boring but when I mention something about cct it gets hot, hot, hot-
I think everyone with a brain should just ignore any rude comment from a cct person, unless you like drama. Because all your getting out of it is a stupid argument over nothing.
OC, Quakes, Magic, Surf and Blaze (and former Pacific Stars & the other one that just closed)are all WITHIN 20 minutes from each other. And I mean the 2 furthest ones are 20 minutes. Almost every one of them are 10/15 minutes apart.
That is so crazy that they can all stay in business being that close it seems to me that OC has got that market on Lock Down. They just seem to have the right combination to keep bringing kids in. Any ideas why? Any OC parents that have switched to OC after being somewhere else, What was the selling point for OC?
I would guess that the main reason people go to OC when they have other choices nearby is that there is strength in numbers, and OC has numerous teams, which means the talent should be placed appropriately. What I haven't seen from OC yet is a strong senior team; their strength seems to be with their younger girls. I wonder why that is? Maybe this season will be different.
Our main points are the 35+ coaches. Many that were brought in from Texas, Kentucky, Oregon, etc.... and our facilities. Once the parents come in and see what's going on, they see that the kids have numerous options to choose from in the way of teams. All of our teams are age and level appropriate. Every person goes thru an evaluation where you perform what you can do WITHOUT spotting. This is how it is decided where you will go. If you move up in tumbling, there is ALWAYS the possibility of moving up a team. But we would prefer moving someone up rather than down. But it CAN happen and the kids know this. We also have student coaches and kids who posses leadership and dedication are encouraged to be a part of the staff. No matter the age, if you can help, we will find something for you to do. It's all volunteer too. So they learn so much responsibility.
As for our senior teams, we actually had a really strong all girl level 5 team last season that was littered with injuries that had nothing to do with cheer. It was almost crazy what happened. This season the team is even stronger than last. So now all we have to do is keep the kids locked in their bedrooms in between competitions!!!!!!
Another big reason that the business does so well is that we have a staff that rivials large businesses. It's run like a business and this gives the parents some sort of security. You KNOW exactly where your money goes and why. No hidden costs, no surprises, and lots and lots of extras. We have tons of parties, family events, fundraisers that also involve the community, public service, etc. We have several payment options and billing that is on time and totally accurate. We offer the kids wireless internet and computers for homework and a room to get it done. We have 3 on staff photographers and a videographer for practices, events and competitions so parents don't have to buy a single photo or video. (last year we took over 35,000 photos with only one photographer) Then there's a computer that you can see what's been taken so far. It's updated once a month.
I really don't know how else to explain it. I hope that helps.
PS We are also so very flattered by the questions and interest. We are still quite young and are growing so fast ( I think the last head count was over 350 kids) but we are still humble and I always go and tell everyone the kind things everyone here has to say. It's truly heartfelt.
cf, twisters, victory, ex-wolfpack, (now mostly with twisters?) VCSC Elite, cal force elite, bladz are all within an hour. Only one is worth the drive, you decide!
