LOL, No. $70/hr for any coach, any student. I no know one is required to take privates, but its always nice to have available to you. Car mechanics, nurses and teachers don't even make $70/hr. (along with many other honorable, much needed professions)

Your looking at privates like they are 8-10 work day rate. They are lessons given for a limited amount of time, so you can't count them as a "normal" thing.

How much Is your grant total for one year of cheerleading?

I think ours last year was about 6-7 thou.

I think with the prices being as high as they are to cheer, you should not have to pay extra, just so the coach can spot your kid and do there job, thats what your already paying tuition for.

Cash insentive works, maybe we should be paying our tuition at the door just so the coaches know where there money comes from and that they have to work for it, like they do for there private money. Everyone should be working hard at practice, not just the kids.

4. Thats already the problem, as long as a kid is acting respectful and fallowing rules, they should all be spotted if they ask, we're all paying the same amount of money right! favoratism is so not cool to have floating in a team enviroment.

The privates have quite a range. It depends on whether you are hiring a college kid or a coach with 15 years experience.

For grand total, are you including travel? Without travel, our costs are probably around $3,500 for the girls on large coed. Remember our guys pay less.

Your question about spotting I think goes more to the technique of the coach that whether someone is working for their money. If you have a problem with a coach's technique, you need to ask the coach. If that doesn't work, you speak with the gym owner. If that doesn't work, you find a new gym or accept what you've got.
