honestly i love cheerforce.. but i never again want to hear Elvis in a cheerleading routine..not to keen on the outfits either. not "causing drama" but giving my opinion. again i love cheerforce but wasnt diggin the elvis theme.
Personaly...I'm not a big fan of themes in music....
I just love to hear really well made music with songs that sound good together. EX: Geargias lg CoEd, and CA Panthers this last year did that perfectly...
This year Motions Senior Black is doing a Disney Theme.
We'll have Bryan up in a scorpion, opposite Nicole in a scorpion, and they will sing "A Whole New World" to each other while their bases slowly spin them dramatically.
Please, please, please, Nelson! I think you guys will not only get a bid to World's but you will bring the trophy home with that one! Bryan could totally pass for Aladdin!!!!!!
There was a sound effect used by some organizations that I thought was so annoying.. it's like a siren, and it kind of reminded me of a sound I hear on a carnival ride. I couldn't enjoy that part of any routine that had that particular sound (they must have all used the same person/company).
I have to admit I do like themes, and I love 60's, 70's and 80's stuff. I wouldn't mind newer music if they all didn't use the same song (if I hear "don't you wish your girlfriend was..." one more time at a competition I may scream). Wonder which song it will be this coming season? We all should take guesses, see who's right.
I wasn't sure if Nelson was joking about the Aladdin thing, but it sounds pretty cool. I just loved it one year when, I think it was Pyramids, or maybe AA, used Manilow's Copacabana.
Yeah, I LOVED that routine also! What I would give to see Jason back on the Open team dancing again! His enthusiasm and energy was contagious and you couldn't help but smile when you watched them! On another note, I do like when teams use old and new music together. Cheergyms does it really well. I loved last years Junior Level 4 teams music with the Good Times theme song at the end!
