Personally I don't think USA is horrible. They have improved over the years in their judging and competitions. The only thing I don't like about the way USA is judged is that they seem to put choreography over the skills. I have seen and taken teams who totally outskilled the winners, but USA loves the flashy dances and that WEST coast style. Saying that, its their style and what they cater too. They have gotten better in the last few years, but not the leader in the all star maket. You can tell too because they cater to schools and colleges more. If you go to USA h.s. Nationals they put more emphasis on that. The problem with catering to that side of the market is that if cheerleading becomes a SPORT in California, then many companies will LOSE customers. Look at West Virginia, Nevada, Georgia and I think OHIO. Some of those places don't allow stunting, no out of state traveling, cannot attend "nationals", and can only compete 2-3 t imes a season. It varies from each state, but those things can happen. All stars will always be around and bring in lots of business. They just need to learn to even it out. Just because you put alot of motions and "fluff" doesn't mean its better.
I like subjective judging within a score range because it keeps cheerleading exciting.
I think that post from USA said it all. They don't cater to the large gyms? Well, that's ok then. We won't bring our teams that are up in the double digits.
Speaking of Worlds Bids, did anyone notice that Battle by the Bay in Palm Springs is giving out a BID. I think the WEST Coast has many chances to get bids, since there are only so many level 5 programs in Cali, Arizona, Nevada, and Washington.
