I think the whole point most of us post on the anonymous board is to remain anonymous.
The reason I don't specify my team or organization for any of my posts is that the opinions I state are mine alone, and I don't want my organization to be impacted by anything I might say. Even if the post is something as simple as what gym are you from. Let's just say I'm from team Arlene.
NCP is located in Marin I believe. NCP stands for Nor Cal Power. They're actually pretty good and their coaches are really nice! www.ncpallstars.com. Their kids were hanging out with my kids at a competition and it was nice to see all the kids relax during the backstage "stress".
Yes, they are. That is why I am confussed. Power has been around 8,9 10? years. So what's up with Nor Cal Power? Sounds too much the same to me! Well, if they are good like Power, than that is saying alot!
names wrote: Yea, I agree on the name, too close to Power, and it makes it sound like they are affiliated with them. Oh well..
HI! NCP goes by NCP, not Nor Cal Power. 1.) they don't want to be affiliated with POWER CHEER(sac and Med.) 2.) their full name is northern california power, thunderbolts. 3.) Frm what I heard, the kids helped name the gym.
I know the coaches and TRUST ME they DO NOT WANT TO BE AFFILIATED with power cheer. They're a small gym but they're all about the children and parents in the gym. They're the type of coaches who do it JUST FOR THE KIDS. most of the kids their can't afford All-Star cheer so they work with them to the point where some only pay $20 a month. They're def. not in it for the money. If you ever meet them, you'll understand. I love them! - Kelly (novato)
It's cute the kids helped name the gym, but even so, it's good to check to make sure the name is unique. But not to say you shouldn't use any name you want. And actually, in NCP's defense, Power Cheer changed their name to just Power not too long ago, I think. So when it was Power Cheer, Nor Cal Power certainly sounds different enough. It only sounds close to the same now that they are simply Power, and we all know they're from Northern California.
NCP sounds like they're something special, and are all about the kids. Good for them, I hope they do well this season!!
So you don't wanna be confused with one of the top 10 teams in the world? YOu know that they knew who POWER was when they made the name. Originality is key in allstar cheer.
