Who bought sour grapes? You know, they will let you taste them before you buy them.
I know what you really meant and I was making a joke cause your comment was totally out of line. No one said anything. So you make a dumb comment, you get one back.....
Wow - this topic got ugly fast...I was not at Worlds, but I am looking forward to seeeing any of the coverage that we can get. I heard California was represented very well and I am proud to say that I will be watching it with my cheerleader at my side. Enjoy!
Yup everyone did amazing at worlds. Cali was represented extremely well. I can't wait to see it on tv. Next year though let's try to bring home a 1st place trophy to cali. That would be awsome.
SOOOO PROUD, I know kida my age that don't act the way you are. If you are who you really are, act your age.
And don't embarass your daughter.
But yes, Congratulations to Cheerforce Small Coed as they placed 3rd at Worlds.
Danny, I think it would be a good idea to lock this topic, seeing as the main point of this thread was to announce that WORLDS will be on ESPN2 Saturday, June 17th at 4:00 PM PST, and it's been said about 50 times already.
So true. Some people are just kids at heart lol, but that's not always bad. It gets bad when you use your talents or your kids talents to try to bring down other teams. I know for a fact that their are many teams capable of bringing home a first place trophy from Worlds. I can't see how you are from Cheer Force since i don't know anyone who would write that on a message bored from that organization and if you are from Cheer Force please shut your mouth and stop giving them a bad name.
I've got may TiVo set and ready to go. I'm just bummed that we can't watch it at 4:00 p.m. I have to watch my girls race their go-karts instead but just as fun because yes they are girls in a boys sport and beating them!! Bring it On!! Still anxiously awaiting for the World's DVD.... Maybe we'll drive straight home and watch it at 3:30 a.m. when we get home?!?!
Wow - I am so excited to watch worlds on TV today!! I am extremely proud of our Nor Cal teams that made it to Worlds. That alone is a huge honor that any cheerleader would love to do. I am hoping for a little coverage of those teams today. If not, it will just be a great show to watch for any cheerleading fan.
Congratulations again Nor Cal Cheerleading, I am very proud of you!
It's amazing how far someone will go to make Cheerforce look bad. I can't believe that SOOOOO PROUD is really from Cheerforce because we just don't have anyone who behaves that way. Congratulations to all the Cali teams and don't fall for the imposters. We have a great club with impeccable sportmanship and we are proud of every team, Cali was well representd.
What is with the big chip on the shoulder of so many of the California teams? Cali has had a team in the top 3 in each year of Worlds - only three states can make that claim. (Texas, Maryland, and California) Granted, it will be an uphill battle to catch up with Texas (5 golds, 4 silvers, and 2 bronzes), but being one of the top states is something to be proud of.
seriously... i missed worlds on tv!! i was stuck in the sun for 9 hours playing in a football tournament... i mean i tried telling the referee to cut the games short so i could go home to watch cheerleading on tv, but i dont think he took me seriously...
Congrats POWER and CHEERFORCE- Diamonds for making it on TV. you all made Cali proud wouldnt have wanted it any other way. Both of your gyms never let us down on seeing a great show! Good luck to both of you this year and well will definetly see you on the floor more! :)
I think the chip comes from those teams who do so incredibly well in CA and the teams who aren't doing so well battling it out thru words and not thru actions. It's a basaic human feeling to be jealous over not being a part of a winning team and having to hear the winning teams consistantly tell you how much they win. It's totaly normal. It's not polite to do so but normal. People strive for attention. Good and bad. We all want to be noticed in one way or another. Unfortunately, those who win tend to rub it in and those who tend to lose, rub it in another way.
So the chip on CA's shoulder is because even though we have a few good teams, they still aren't good enough (yet) to take the top prize. And everyone knows it. But one day, someone from CA will do it and hopefully it will be a tactful win. One day................................ one day...........................
So be proud of your team. Yes, be proud. But be careful who you step on along the way. It may be the team that takes that top prize and the ones who cheered you on all along. And yet, you still didn't win it and you rubbed your win in even though you really didn't win.
Second place is the first loser. A terrible thing to say but in fact, truth.

Try not to be quite so analytical, I think you missed the point.
