Out of all the competiitions we attended this year JAMZ was the worse. The music is loud and they ran extremely long. I felt they were very disorganized. The day was one of the longest I've ever had at a cheer competition. I did like Amerca's Best and the Athletic Championship they were much more organized and enjoyable from a parents standpoint at least.
I agree about USA...I'm not a big fan of the company and havent been for a few years now. Jamz did run long days at vegas but that was because they only had a certain amount of time to get all of cheer done and clear the arena and set up the dance floors for dance nationals that SAME WEEKEND. they did not make long days to be inconsiderate to parents, coaches, or participants....
JAMZ was terrible- During our Small Senior Advanced performance, the music cut out in one of the speakers and the girls couldn't even count the freakin' dance.
We saw a couple teams with audio difficulties too.. maybe because of the switch in venues this year. Typically that does not happen with Jamz Nationals. It won't stop us from attending again, it's a tradition for us, and one we always look forward to. When you find one you enjoy, stick with it. And for that reason, we won't be attending some of the others I've seen mentioned.
I think that Jamz did have difficulties but they still had a great staff who keeps the kids happy and going. I know some of the kids complained about being on the floor and the staff members cheering them on. I'm happy they were being supportive but my kids said it was hard to concentrate. It is also sad to hear that the music was cutting in and out for your team(s) but I've been to many other competitions where that has happened before. I like USA but only at a regional level. I do agree that their nationals are horrible, they need to get on the ball.
I think that the thing is with Jamz is that they try to entertain at the same time of the competetion and it can be but then also can get annoying. Thy try to make it fun and enjoyable with some added entertainment. THe problem is that they do it all at the end. If they slpit up with some at the begging of the day I thinkthatit might be better. Having all that entertainment at the end can really upset everyone because everyone is tried of being there and all they care about is if the won or not because they just want theri tropies or jacket so they can go home and practice or rest for the next one. Otherwise I think that Jamz is a wonderful compettion to go to. To me USA seems boring and the same every year. I dont know what it is but is seems like no matter how many time you have been to a USA a nationals it always seems extacally the same.
I have to agree with you Fan. After hearing those (talented) girls sing AGAIN AND AGAIN, I thought I would go crazy. At the end, we were tired and wanted to just go home (or back to the hotel room).
We attended JAMZ Regional and JAMZ Nationals and they were by far the 2 worst competitions we went to. Nationals was way to long they should have moved some of the teams into Friday when there was a shorter day. My favorite competition was JAMFEST, well organized, fun and on time!
We all loved JAMZ in Vegas.... it was one of the mosT fun comps we have been to this last season! GREAT Venue, lots of room everywhere, just FUN!!! Vegas Baby! Back off of JAMZ!! They are a great Nationals comp. Give these organizationas a BREAK!!! Go JAMZ
