these parents did an awesome job last year..I think a parent team is great.

one thing however, some don`t think cheerleading is a sport, the word

is "tryout" and see how well you can maintain for a full 2 1/2 to 3 min workout

without stopping..don`t forget to maintain a smile at the judges while doing so.

OC All Stars had an awesome parent team this past year. If OC Mom has a video link of their performance at Long Beach please post it so we can all see. It is inspiring! I encourage parents to sign up and get involved.

I am on the Cheerforce Tombstonez (parent team) and I love it. I have collected 4 major bruises, 1 fall onto my back while catching my flier,deep knee pain, 20 something new friends, AND a whole new respect for how hard our kids work.

Colony had a parent team this past year and will be having another this year. It was so much fun, as the coach, to teach the group of parents. I know they learned a lot about cheer but I was able to learn a lot about the families in the gym. I would recommend a parent team to everyone!!

Watch out for the Colony Silver Co-ed team this year!!!

Do the parents pay for being on a parent team or is it free if their child in on a team already?

At Colony they paid for their outfits and entry fees. It was open to all the families involved in the gym.

Thanks for remembering us!! Oh yea, those bruises and aches were real!!! Forward rolls are the hardest things you'll ever do! Trust me!

It was fun, scary, exciting, tough, and overall very well worth it. We will do it again for sure at OC cause now EVERYONE wants to be a part of it. Well........ not EVERYONE. We still have some "chickens". (grin) You know who you are!!!!!!

Parent teams are great to watch. They are uplifting for the teams and a change of pace for competitions.

My daughter is on Senior Coed this season. She was on Senior Black last year but wants to stunt with the coed team this year. What team is her friend on? We most likely know each other!

Right now no. They are level 4. But so far we have 7 boys (I think, but it could be more, we've only had one practice) and working on getting LOTS more. And you know how crazy tumblers guys can be!!! hehehehehe I wouldn't be surprised if they did get there. Yea, she's excited actually. Everyone is pumped for this season. Now, if only we could get the parent team starting now like everyone else! I might be able to do a forward roll!!!! Hahaha yea right.
