where? wrote: Where do we find information for counseling, on the Cherr Odyessey web page? I couldn't find anything on there.
Does anyone know if everyone else is recovering okay? I am so worried about them and don't know where to get the information.
It was on the message board for Cheer Odyssey. Coach Tera posted a message that Sr. Judith (who is also a licenced therapist) would be at the Gym tonight. You might call the Gym tonight. That is all I know at this time. I am trying to get more info. I know that Anissa Talavera is on her way home, and heard that Jaqui may also be sent home today. (not sure) Sorry thats all I know. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, we'll be praying for your cheer family and for the full recovery of your cheerleaders and staff, and we'll be cheering even louder for you when we see you all this fall.
Alot of the kids are starting to post here too. Thank you everyone for keeping them in your prayers. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. The girls, famlies and all who know them will really need them in the days to come. The love and support is so greatly appreciated.
Stolen from us in a moment Loved and missed for a lifetime A sweet voice forever silenced With no reason or ryhme Beauty cut to short By a simple twist of fate Words never spoken Sad goodbyes come to late An angel taken home To early for us to understand Yet taken for a reason Perfectly picked by the Father's hand She now stands in glory In a place we dream about Where the streets are made of gold And the trumpets of the Lord shout HOLY HOLY is His name Our Lord God above all But why her why so young Did this angel have to fall Questions never to be answered But please know she won this fight Though she may be gone from us She stands with Him tonight...
Are prayers are with you all! It gives us goosebumps because our ORIGINAL plan would have put us in that area at the same time as the accident. We CANNOT even imagine what these families are going through! BUT, we can all pray for them and like one of the posts said in a prayer--Katy is with God tonight and what a GLORY that is for her. We will be praying for all involved for weeks and months to come. We may never understand WHY but we can find strength in all the LOVE around us that God has GIVEN us to find our strength from.
I'm so sorry for this tragic event. I could not image what it would be like to lose an fellow cheerleader on a team. I hope all recovery is well. You are in my prayers. Good luck to all the recovering members in the crash. Keep us posted.
I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers go out to you. May those injured in the crash make a complete recovery. My thoughts, prayers, and hopes go out to you in your time of need. I think I can speak for everyone whe I say, RIP Katy. I will keep on praying.
Her mom is in fresno at the hospital in a full body cast from her neck down because she has some broken bones in her back and a really messed up lung...
Please keep praying for all of the girls that were in the accident.. our prayers are healing.
The NCP staff, team members and families are so sorry for your loss. You are all in our hearts and prayers. If any of you need anything - an ear to listen to you, a shoulder to lean or cry on we are here for you. Please know that you all have the support from every Cheer Gym. God bless each and every one of you.
Always, Marianne, Jacki, David and the entire NCP Family
On behalf of Cheer Odyssey's coaching staff, owners, and families, we thank you for the many thoughts and prayers posted on this web site. It is amazing the support and love that you have shown to our Odyssey family. It is devistating to everyone to have lost one of our cheerleaders and everyday to hope for a speady full recovery of those injured. With your prayers and support during this difficult time, the individual families involved, along with the entire gym, are on their way to recovering strong....after all, we are all part of cheerleading and knowing how loud we all rock the house at competitions, GOD will hear our prayers loud and clear. Keep the prayers going strong and again, we thank you and appreciate all that you are doing. God bless you.
I am soooooooooooooo sorry about what happened i hope that everyone that got hurt recovers and the other cheerleader that passed away will most definately be in my prayers and I wish the best to his/her family. This is a little message to the cheerleader that died, You are a great cheerleader and you will be missed dearly by friends, family and even cheerleaders that never even met you. Again I am very sorry for what happened.
~~~Kaitlyn~~~ PS Try to think about happy things not about the accident, I know it's kind of hard , but at least try. I will always pray for you all friends, family and the cheerleaders.
Just thought I'd mention there is new information on the Cheer Odyssey website, under "news". It includes information for those who would like to contribute to Katy George's family.
Anyone wishing to contribute may do so to the Katy George Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Bank of Stockton. The account number is 1250003520. The scholarship will go to support girls who would like to cheer but cannot afford to.
HELLO CHEER FRIENDS. JUST WANTED TO UPDATE YOU ON THE ODYSSEY FAMILY. ALL THE PEOPLE INVOLED HAVE BEEN AT HOME FOR A LITTLE WHILE, RESTING, RECOVERING AND FINDING SOME COMFORT BEING IN THEIR DAILY ELEMENTS. OPERATIONS HAVE BEEN MOVING ALONG AND SOME OF THOSE INVOLVED HAVE BEEN BACK TO THE GYM AND IT IS AWESOME TO SEE THEM THERE. THE TRAGEDY IS STILL A HAUNTING MEMORY FOR THOSE INVOLED AND BRINGS TEARS TO OUR EYES FOR THE REST OF US. YOUR CONTINUED PRAYERS FOR PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL HEALING ARE APPRECIATED. IN THE DAYS AHEAD, WHEN THIS ISNT CLOSE IN MIND ANYMORE, AND YOU THINK OF ODYSSEY, SAY A QUICK LITTLE PRAYER FOR THOSE INVOLED AND THOSE WHO ARE CLOSE TO KATY. IT WILL BE A LONG JOURNEY TOWARDS THE MEMORIES BEING PAINFUL TO THEM BEING A SMILE FILLED WITH THE CELEBRATION OF KATY'S LIFE.
Hey CO - we are still thinking of you and I hope you can get past the trauma of this ordeal and be able to use it to make yourselves better. You will most certainly be closer and hopefully when you can put the pain behind you, you can go forward with joy and celebration for life.
Keep strong Odyssey, find strength in eachother. You girls amaze me everytiime I see you, Katy would be so proud to see all of you at the gym working so hard to get things "in place" for this season. Odyssey Staff and Jr. / Sr staff, thank you for maiking the girls feel like its OK to come back, I know it is hard for all of you, but your brave faces and your willingness to share your time and talents are so appreciated. We love you all and keep all of you in our prayers! CO Mom
BTW - thanks to all for keeping the Odyssey family in your thoughts and prayers.
