Thinking has been that coed teams with more guys have an advantage by being able to do large number of partner stunts that a team with less guys couldn't do. Not saying I agree, just appears they are trying to give coed teams more options on what division they want to compete.
Based on these new coed divisions, does anyone know what the "Worlds" divisions for Coed will be in 2006-2007? I don't see it anywhere on the web site.
Well seeing that teams like GA all stars and Kentucky elite have 11 stunts up, and a team could only have 6 guys with alot less stunt groups. That's not even comparable.
Limited/Semi Limited/Unlimited are the names that they're changing the coed divisions to next year. Those names only have to do with the number of males on a team and not what skills those teams can or cannot perform.
The reason for the change is that a lot of companies are offering "small" divisions in the coed divisions, i.e. Small Small Coed (1-4 Males/20 members max), to help with programs that can't develop the Large Small Coed teams that most programs have across the country. Plus it's to also help with the confusion and limit the words "Large" and "Small" to the size of the teams and not how many males are on the team. Hope this help...
To sick of all the divisions wrote: Wow that was a pretty stupid thing to say. Some programs haven't been around long enough to pull in the males. If you dont like it then you get out .
Wow sounds like you're on one of the suckfest teams
Ya that probably wasn't the smartest thing to say. The divisions have actually been downsized. There is no more senior prep or junior prep. So that means no more SR. prep level 1-5 or jr. prep level 1-5. You have to compete senior or junior now. The younger divisions is either junior, youth or mini. I think they have done a good job with it. I think you will see many of the competitions being more competitive because you are being forced into some divisions.
USASF has not clarified what Coed divisions will be competing in 2007. But we could assume they will still have two coed divisions.
We could further assume these two divisions would be similar to what they offer for 2006 Worlds: Limited Coed (1-4 males) and Unlimited (5 or more males).
The Unlimited division is defined on USASF web site as 5 or more males, not 12+ males as listed by "Hopefully Helpful".
