Well, I haven't seen SBE in years but I am curious to know who they beat that had a bid also. Or at least who they beat that would qualify to get a bid and actually place well at Worlds. Sadly there aren't teams in Ca that can really really qualify for that title YET but boy are some getting close. So besides Ca teams, who would think that SBE or any other Ca team for that matter could truly say they WON a bid AND can go and kick butt at worlds? My guess would be CA or CheerForce but as good as they are, they arent quite there yet. Close but not QUITE. I would put my money on them in the very near future though. I can't say about CF but when one practices as many days per week as CA does, I can see why other Ca teams cant compete. If we practiced as much as they do, we would be up there too. Unfortunately we have parents who want us to win but don't want to put the time and energy into it. When that happens, we will be up there with all of them. But hey, one can hope and dream.

southbay large coed beat motions as well as cheerforce this year, they both have bids to worlds
as far as practicing.. i dont think you should 'put down' ca for practicing too much. every program practices a different amount.
i know in our gym we would be there every single day if we could just because we love it so much.
i know divas dosnt practice on the weekends, motions practices 2 times a week and will never add another practice and southbay practices 3-4 times a week and will add practices on. so theres something for everyone, just gotta decide what you want to do!
Don't know who divas are but regarding practices, I think part of the problem with California teams is, to be honest, there's just too much to do here in California, as opposed to some other parts of the country where cheer really is what they eat and breathe. So yea, we might not have quite the dedication as other states, but it's hard to stay indoors in a gym five days a week when you live here. But I know that's what it takes to compete with the best in Worlds.
I agree with the above post. California will get there. As long as there is no over saturation. It's hard to build the best team when there are too many teams in one area. I think it would be cool to have an all state team and truly pick the best to be on it.
