So if POWER already has a paid bid, and AMERICAN already has an at large bid, and DESERT STORM already has at at large bid..............who gets the bid?
Only other teams in the division are VCSC & RC Club, correct?
How did the awards end up? 1st.........Power 2nd........American 3rd........? 4th........? 5th........?
Ethical? wrote: Paint it any way you want it is still a crummy thing to do to take the money and run. There is no doubt that an ethical club would give the money to American!! Why take more then you need to get to World's, that is alot like rubbing people's faces in it.
Okay so here are a few hypothetical situations.
First all team competing for the bids have PAID BIDS. Who should keep the money?
The first place team of course.
2nd There is $10,000 offered in Small Co-ed but no bid and Stars Extreme win the $10,000. Should they give the money to American because they need it to go to Worlds?
NO OF COURSE NOT. JAMZ, GSSA, CHEERSPORT and other comps also have other divisions and other prizes.
That $10,000 could go to get new mats for the gym or pay bills or something else. That money is for the program not the bid. It has nothing to do with the BID.
So what if "MOM and POP All stars" had come in and won the bid but because of costs decide to turn it down because there only dream was to win their division and not go to Worlds, should they give the money back?
NO they use the money to improve their programs.
You know there are other teams out there and other levels. I just wanted to say congratulations to all those Level 1-4 teams that work their butts off. You are the future of cheer. Its not all about Worlds people!!! So
I just want to say that we knew before attending that if we didn't win First then no 10 thousand dollars. We are still contemplatiing attending Worlds and as a group harbor no ill feelings towards POWer they hit we didn't. Thanks to everyones support that night and good job Power it is always exciting to compete with you. Hopefully we will accept this Bid we have not accepted the other two at large bids we have recieved from Cheersport and USA. Well now it is up to our parents, so will see. Good job Motions and good luck to everyone at Worlds!
Personally. I don't believe Power owes American anything. $10,000 is alot to be asked to give up. It's easy for someone else to say what Power should do with the money. That being said. As I said in my previous post, I believe Jamz should be responsible for some type of monetary consideration to American. I think the way it was advertised, it would be very easy to believe that American would have been the team that should have gotten the money aka "partial paid bid" which I believe most people thought that money was for. How much of American's money was wasted on entry fees, hotels, etc going to a competition that they would have not otherwise attended if not for that partial bid they thought was going to be given out, that they could have more wisely spent on getting to Worlds?
Who gets the Lg Sr bid??? wrote: So if POWER already has a paid bid, and AMERICAN already has an at large bid, and DESERT STORM already has at at large bid..............who gets the bid?

I think these teams were looking to win the money in addition to getting a bid.
POWER WORKED HARD FOR THEIR PRIZE, THE BIDS AND THE JACKETS. JEALOUS ARE WE?? I'M SURE IF YOU WON THE MONEY, YOU WOULDN'T HAVE GIVEN IT TO ANOTHER TEAM. BESIDES, POWER DOES NEED THE MONEY. THEY'RE TAKING TWO TEAMS TO WORLDS!! REMEMBER?!
Thanks to "WE KNEW" from American Cheer for clearing something up that MOST organizations understood about how "the cash awards" and at "large bids" worked at Jamz this past weekend!! Two separate things!!! I do really hope Amercian gets sponsorship and attends.. Go CALI!!
HERE WE GO AGAIN WITH ALL THE NEY SAYERS!! LAST WEEK IT WAS THE JUDGES WERE BIASED AND THE FANS EFFECTED THE JUDGING SO WHATS IT GOING TO BE THIS WEEK?? COME ON GET OVER AND ACCPET IT POWER IS GOOD AND MOVE ON GEEZ ENOUGH ALREADY. I THINK EVERYONE IS SO SICK AND TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT HOW POWER WON BY ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THIS OR BECAUSE OF THAT WELL HOW MANY TIMES DO THEY NEED TO WIN BEFORE MAYBE ITS JUST TRUE!!??HMMMMM AND WHY ON EARTH WOULD THEY GIVE ANOTHER TEAM 10K?? NO ONE ELSE WOULD. THATS TO HELP BUILD THEIR PROGRAM AND BETTER YET HELP PAY FOR THE SMALL SENIORS TO GO AS WELL. BOTTOM LINE CALIF IS WELL REPRESENTED AND SHOULD ROCK WORLDS THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was quite confusing. The way it read was a at large bid t 10,000. and in small it read an at large bid t 5,000. I was just thinking this was a Jamz error and they should take care of it maybe giving the teams that got the bids money to( false advertising). I thought Power was great both teams hit there routines. I also have a problem with the way they awarded the paid bid. Not to take anything away from Motions, but California allstars large coed won . I know they already had a paid bid but the way Jamz awarded the bid to the 2nd place team Motions (and don't get me wrong they were good too) kind of took away from the team that won the division. I also didn't like the way all the staff was stunting and tumbling when the teams who won were coming up to get there medals and picture taken. These kids worked hard and the staffs tumbling etc. kind of took away form the winners. Just my thoughts.
If you are familiar with USASF and their bids you would know they allow companies to award three categories of bids and what the definition is for all three:
Paid Bid Partial Paid Bid At Large Bid
It was stated on Jamz site they were offering "At Large Bids" for Large Sr Girl and Small Sr Girl. If anyone misunderstood it their own misunderstanding, not Jamz.

I'm from Motions and I agree. Not enough attention was given to CA the National Champions. good job CA! We all aspire to be as good as you all are! Thank you for setting the standard!
Great Job CA Bullets for being Jamz National Champs. And to the CA parents sitting behind us thank you for the "congratulations and great job" you gave us.
hey everybody. we messed up at JAMZ. and power deserved the partial bid and thats that. nobody needs to put down power because they beat us fair and square and they did a great job and they stuck a great routine. YOU GIRLS DID AWESOME but we are sponsering to go to worlds and doing everyhintg in our will power to get there. so i hope to see everybody there and i cant wait to see the turn out
Well I don't know what happened on that last post! This is what it was supposed to say - - - -
I have to say that this is what it's all about! Teams supporting and congratulating each other and being positive! Way to go Americann3 for saying that Power was the better team that day and deserved what they got. With this kind of attitude your team will be successful in many ways! I think it is really great when you can say "well we weren't the better team that day" and now we need to work harder for the next one. I hope you guys find a way to make it to Worlds and perform a flawless routine and whatever happens after that, know you guys are winners in every sense of the word! That goes for ALL of the teams going to Worlds, go and support each other no matter what and good things will come of it! It may not be a first place trophy, but you will make lasting friendships that you would have probably never had otherwise and that is something to truly treasure!
