I brought up requirements because Morton had mentioned that there could be tumbling requirements for next year and I am trying my darndest to learn how to tumble, so far I've done pretty good. But I had such a good time on the team last year and I certainly hope that I have something to offer, I always felt so proud to walk onto the competition floor wearing a Cheergyms uniform. Everyone knows who you are and when you tell people you cheer for Cheergyms it is a big deal. I never thought I would be able to cheer again after high school and until last year I didn't realize how much I missed it. I knew going in I wouldn't be even close to being the best, and I know I never will be since my jumps will never look like Tamara's nor would I ever tumble as good as, say Billy, but I had sooooo much fun, I made some good friends on the squad and worked hard, even through TWO concussions from that rewind pyramid I still was loving it. Although everyone else I know thought I was nuts, but unless you know the feeling of being on that floor it's hard to describe. I will see you all at try-outs, hopefully with some tumbling to show and money in hand :), but either way I really hope to make the team again I loved it last year, I respect and love the program and the people...and hopefully I'm not one of the lazy, or obnoxious people you don't want to see again!
I cant wait for tryouts....yaaaaaaaaaaa!!! I have been working on my tumbling and what not.... fell on my head pretty bad and knocked my self stupid and right out!!! It was some good times!!! LOL. WEll, I cant wait to see you all at tryouts!!! And hopfully with some tumbling to show. Luv ya all...
YAY, Kathryn. I've been woking on tucks with a spot already...we dancers can tumble if we want! I'll be excited to see you at try-outs! By the way did you get your Nationals DVD yet?
I cant wait to see you either!!! My tummbling isnt Very good At All....lol But ill be there to try! Oh and the video hasnt came in... bummer i know. later
Erin I couln't put it in better words myself. I really really wish I could tumble and bring that to the team. I tried to go take tummbling but I walked in and they just laughed at me, they said at 27 their was no way I could start tumbling now. I may not be able to tummble but I can sure dance, base and cheer..... I wasn't the best I could be last year I know I can be better. But, your right I may not be the best on the team but I enjoyed my self sooo much and I felt to terrible when I couldn't make nationals. This year I am ready for tryouts, i'm in better shape and I can't wait to cheer with everyone. I had a ball everyone was so nice and I was proud to wear the cheergyms uniform! I hope this year we can do a lot more! See you all at tryouts! I miss you all!
Now, now...27 is NOT too old to learn how to tumble if you have the desire... shame on you--ha, ha! Of course you will have to be more cautious, and it may take you longer to learn than the younger kids, but don't give up if you want it! I didn't learn fulls and standing tucks until I was 22...now I am 24...and not about to stop trying to get new skills. You REALLY can do anything you put you mind to!
