American was great!

RE: USA

I didn't see your team on Saturday, but I loved your routine on Sunday. I attributed the low score to a bad performance on Saturday. If you guys performed on Saturday the way you did on Sunday, then you deserved a paid bid.

Desert was in 1st after Saturday's performance. American did have issues on Saturday. Nothing against them, but just the facts. American looked good on Sunday but did lack the spark that people expected. Again, nothing wrong, just my view. I hope you go into GSSA and do your thing and get that bid but on Saturday, the high score in Lg Sr. was 91(the lowest) and 2pts behind Sm. Sr at 93, (highest). FYI, regarding the order of performance, American went 1st, and Desert went last on Sunday. The performance order was based on rankings after day 1.

well from what i was told by my coach, we were in first and we were behind small senior all girl by .5 division wise.
i dont know where you are getting your information. but when i see the usa scores show me my coach lied to me then maybe i will take your word for it.

Are you sure those were not just random performance orders? That would mean that American went from 4th to 1st in large seniors. It would also mean that Stars Extreme went from 1st to 4th, Mavericks from 2nd to 1st, Champion from 4th to 2nd and Dynasty from 6th to 3rd in small coed. Large coed looks like it could have been by performance order. (I'm looking at the schedule right now). I know teams do move up or down, but in particular, the moves in small coed and American's jump from 4th to 1st don't sound logical to me. I seriously doubt that Stars Extreme was ever in the lead in small coed. I'm sure it was Mavericks both days. I think those were random performance orders.

USA's Sunday order was random based on a draw by all finalists after Saturday. All the division finalists were announced and told to go backstage to draw for performance order Sunday - That's why they announced the placements that did not make finals, then the finalists "in no particular order" - they said that during the announcement of virtually every division that had finals.

American girls = you all are awesome! You hit your routine with very few errors all three days and you should be proud. You did everything you could to get that bid...the scores just didn't go your way this time.

There were lots of great performances at USA and I wish the best of luck to the teams representing USA at Worlds!

Not Random

Date:

The order of competition for the Worlds Divisions were not random. They were in order of ranking. Only the teams that went to finals from the NON world divisions drew numbers for their order of performance. I don't find this hard to see at all because most of the teams were close on Saturday.

The highest score on Saturday was 93 and that was on Small Senior. Small Coed was 92.75, Lr Coed was 92 and Lrg. Senior was 91. Those scores were given on Saturday. No way to tell what the score was for American because he only said the division scores and these were the highest scores in the divisions. Now, if American was .5 behind Sm. Sr. division wise, then they were .5 behind the lowest Sm Sr team because 93 minus .5 is 92.5 and the highest score for Lrg. Senior was 91.

But what does that matter, American received their unpaid bid because their combinded score from Saturday and Sunday was below Lr. Coed's score of 93.2

I hope they go to GSSA and get a full paid bid, cuz Jamz is only giving a partial bid. Not nearly enough to take 35 people to Worlds.

I still seriously doubt that Stars Extreme was ahead of WC Mavericks after prelims. Which that's what the performance order says if it wasn't random. Any Mavericks or Stars reading this, can you let us know which of you were in 1st. I still think there was way too much movement in those divisions not to have been random

I guess the judges saw it differently than we did. I thought WCM may have been in 1st but I wasn't too shocked to see that Stars was ahead. Stars were more exciting and WCM were a little cautious on Saturday. But the post is correct. The order for the worlds teams was in ranking order, last to first. Who knows what the point differences were but I bet they were close.

Well, then in that case, great job to all those teams that made those comebacks.
American, 4th to 1st. Dynasty, 6th to 3rd. Champion, 4th to 2nd. Way to go. Yall all looked great!

The order for Sunday's finals were randomly drawn immediately following Saturday night's award ceremony/announcement of finalists for ALL divisions, the World's ones included. Please make sure you get the facts straight before you start spreading rumors about a team's placement

What happened?

91.5 is nothing to sneeze at, but I noticed that American was .5 behind CA's Large Coed @ 92 on Saturday and apparently stayed in "4th" place on Sunday. What happened or were the other teams just better last weekend?

Jen - You are amazing. We wish you the very best. Your program is amazing and we respect you and your teams more than ever. You have one of the best teams in the World! Your teams always push the envelope in every aspect. Everyone knows the results could have gone in any direction at USA. You guys were outstanding. I know you guys will kick butt at JAMZ. I still think your Juniors deserved to be in FINALS. They are awesome.

I doubt that the USA Staff are reading this. Seriously. And about American, I would go straight to GSSA and prove yourselves. Get that Paid Bid. Lord only knows what the teams will look like at 12:00AM at Jamz. We know that they won't be on time and it may even be close to 1:00AM or later on Monday morning when it's all said and done. Besides, it's only a partial bid. Go for the whole enchilada! I don't think that you can get tougher competition than you saw at USA so go take it.
