Well I just got this off the Dynasty web site. I guess since Cheer Athletics declined the unpaid bid from NCA they were the next in line. BTW this team is located in Rockwall, TX

so far i know that california all stars won the large coed bid from usa, and west coast mavericks won the small coed bid. not sure who won large all girl but i heard desert storm is the front runner. and california all stars won small sr
California allstars large coed, Mavericks small coed and California allstars small all girl got the paid bids. American large all girl got an at large bid. Champion small coed got an at large bid and I think there might have been one or two more. It was a great comp. lots of really talented teams.
Dynasty got an unpaid bid from NCA because all of the teams above them at nationals either already had bids or earned paid bids later during the season. Although they tied for 10th at NCA in Small Coed, there ended up being at least 7 teams ahead of them that had bids from other places, so they got their bid by default.
It seems odd that a team that didn't even have one of the top 75 scores at NCA Nationals would end up representing them at Worlds. That is how the system works, though.
Cheer Athletics wasn't in that division, so I don't think their bid had anything to do with it.
Yeah but when Cheer Athletics declined the paid bid from ACA...ACA gave it to Tx Lonestar Cheer sm coed and CA Wildcats wasn't in that division either.
ACA did their bids by overall score. NCA does their bids by division.
In other words, regardless of what happens in other divisions, NCA would have exactly 1 paid bid and 2 unpaid bids representing them in the Small Coed Division. At ACA, they lumped all of the Worlds divisions together, then sorted them by score.
Here are the results of NCA Small Coed (from their site)
1 Spirit of Texas (bid from ACA) 2 Gymtyme (paid bid) 3 Twist & Shout (?) 4 Texas Lonestar (bid from ACA) 5 CDX (bid from CheerSport) 6 Stingray (?) 7 NJ Spirit Explosion (bid from WSF) 8 World Cup (bid from WSF) 9 UC Air Force (?) 10 AS Legacy(?) 10 Dynasty
I'm guessing that CDX winning Cheersport, giving them a paid bid, probably caused the bids to slide down far enough for Dynasty to get one.
I don't know how ACA gave out their bids but they didn't do it by lumping all the World divisions together and going by scores because if they did Cheer Athletics would not have won that bid that they gave back because TLC sm co ed scored higher than them.

I believe that American did get an unpaid bid. I have seen them plenty of times this year and if you have seen what I have you would not be as suprised about them not getting the paid bid. They have seemed to have had a rough year and I have yet to see them stick a full routine with out any major issues. I think people on the west coast just assume that they are going to get a paid bid but now alot of other teams are catching up or surpassing them will they are staying stagnent in there spot. Don't get me wrong, they are great performers but they are just missing the extra something for me this year.
Yesterday, in Finals, American hit the best routine I have seen them hit out of Cheersport and the American grand. They did very well in finals. I was surprised they didn't get picked for the paid bid. I loved Desert Storm Elite as well. I don't really care for West Coast Mavericks, but they won and are going to the Worlds. I was hoping Dynasty would of won, but thats how the cookie crumbles. California All Stars was strong as usual.
American looked great all weekend. Yes there are alot of teams that are "catching up", but they are definitely a strong contender. They hit all three days without any MAJOR messups. The four top scores were 93.8 West coast mavs, 93.6 CA large coed, 93.2 CA small Senior, and 93 even for American, that seems pretty close to me. Good luck to all the Winners and don't be surprised to See American hungry at this weekends Gssa comp.
Unfortunity, American had some issues on Saturday. After day 1, they were in last place. Desert Storm was in 1st. There were 5 teams (I believe) in the division. On Sunday, American had a much better performance and pulled an upset over Desert Storm, who didn't have their best day on Sunday. Good job to both teams. Regarding GSSA, Cheerforce is a force that everyone will be looking at but it's still anyone's bid to earn.
Actually, ACA took all of their DIVISION WINNERS and lumped them together for paid bids, then gave out the rest by scores. You couldn't win a paid bid without winning your division.
