Hello to all - I have a question and I hope some of you can help me. After every comp. I give our "TINY" girls some kind of cute little "good job" gift. Sometimes its sanck, or a stuffed animal decorated to match our squad. I am just wondering what are your favorite ideas, or your favorite gift. I also need ideas for my Sr girls who help coach our little ones! How these girls are able to "rangle" our 3 yr to 5 yr olds is AMAZING! This is my babys second season, and the creative side of my brain seeems to have stalled just in time for Nationals!!
Thank you in advance for any help! Best of luck to everyone! See you in Las Vegas!! Proud TINY cheermom
A trophy and National Champion banner is nice. Save your little gifts and $ for the end of the season and use it on privates, or you will soon be broke. My daughter has been doing this forever and winning is what it's all about. Good sportsmanship and work ethic is gift enough.
Buy in bulk and save. Our Mini's get the most WONDERFUL gifts ever! Thanks OC moms!!!
Most of our teams don't do the gifts anymore cause they just leave a mess everywhere and throw most of it away. But the little ones tend to hold on to a new toy or something like that. Our Parent Assoc. pays for parties or whatever we want to use the money for throughout the year so we usually get dinners or breakfasts at special events (Atlanta & Vegas) for everyone. The older kids usually love that. We also get yearbooks and a video at the end of the year too during our banquet.
I hope this will help. In the past our team has got pillow cases with our team logo on it.we have gotten a pillow and the team had got to sign it, Key chains made with the team logo, also towels or blankets with our name on them. A little photo album and each comp. we give them pictures of the previous comp. and they get to add to it. if you bring the glue it keeps them busy right then. And just this year the moms got together and got the girls, dolls and bears that have our team uniform on them. We even got our coaches one. Her website is www.just2cute.com We saw her at the Oakmont cheer competition in Roseville a few months ago. They turned out great. I’m always looking for new ideas , so what a great topic thanks for starting it.
At every competition, I don't only look forward to strutting our hard work on stage and feeling the energy in the room, but also the suprises our Team Moms provide for us. During past competitions "Motion-eers" have received water bottle holders, sweat towels, cd cases, drawstring backpacks, and lunch bags adorned with our gym logo. Each gift has also been accompanied by water/snacks, so they also double up as containers. We've also received team personalized calenders. These gifts are not only functional on a day to day basis, but also, they allow me to show my pride for my cheerleading and my gym. Last but not least, due to the practicality of the gifts, waste is little to none.
HOPE THIS WAS HELPFUL!

P.S. Functionality also appeals to all age groups, everyone can use a calender/lunch bag/ backpack etc.
Another idea that Pyramids does is they give out a "bag tag" for each competition they attend throughout the year. They are about 3" by 4" and look like they are printed out on a computer with a motivational quote on them along with the competition information (date, time, place, name) and a cute pin on them. They are laminated so they will last and the girls attach them to their cheer backpacks and collect them throughout the year. They usually tie them to a bag of goodies for the girls (snacks, candy, etc). Very inexpensive and the girls like them!
Our moms have also been giving out the laminated bag tags and its GREAT! its really nice to have a little memorabilia from every competition! They've also given us cookies and different themed candy, which they spend a lot of time decorating and writing cute and creative notes on them. Although it obviously costs them some money its much cheaper for them to make than a lot of other gifts i've seen. Although it is not at all necessary (everyone knows that a competition is a reward enough in itself) its definately nice to see the support from parents and at the end of a long day most of the kids are ready to gobble up some candy, and at the end of the season the tags will be treasured even more!
I love this "bag tag" idea! As I said our "Tinis" are 4 to 5 yrears old, so it is all about trying to give then little "keepsakes" or some thing to keep them busy from first thing in the AM till awards. So if you see a bungh of little ones running around Vegas loaded down with all these great ideas and a Nat Champ banner and trophy (I hope) give this crazy mom a wave! Thank you for all of the great and positive ideas. Best of luck to all of you! Tiny Mom
