I can tell you as the coach of both POWER small senior and large senior teams that there NEVER was any talk to join up with any other team. We have 20 on small and 35 on Large. We will be competing with those girls that have been on those teams the entire year through the good and the bad. I love them all !!!!

I really think that each gym has to do what is best for THEM. If they feel comfortable bringing on kids at the last minute, by all means do it. I know for us at POWER, we do not feel comfortable with it. It is all about what each team feels comfortable doing.

I really hope that everyone at GSSA hits and the best teams goes and represents California. D,D,And M- you guys rock and I wish you nothing but the best. ( fantasy baseball excluded)

I think the whole thing is sad and kind of humorous, because 1 or 2 additons to your team doesn't make a SOLID routine, and those extra fulls will not put you in another bracket. The thing about last minute additions, is that it can hurt you as well as help. Girls/Guys squating in the back during the motions/dance/ and jump section doesn't look very clean. Also you can tell who has been "added" last minute. Isn't the rules for Worlds that your only allowed to compete with the kids that are at the same competition that you qualify in. Worlds is something great, but it is turning into a glorified Nationals with international teams. I think it was good when you took the best team that has worked hard all season and compete against the best of the best. Not the best of the best with some last minute h.s. cheerleaders or ex gymnasts. Again it comes down to ethics, and it teaches kids to wait to the last minute in life. Just my opinion.

Using team members from another gym and saying its okay because they are "sister gyms" is the same as what you are accusing this other coach of doing. You all should get off your judgemental high horses and quit trying to be judge jury and excecutioner of this coach. I find it quite repulsive that you are choosing to use this message board to force your own morals and values down everybodys throat.

If its not against the rules then ITS NOT AGAINST THE RULES !
Why has this person chose to attack this gym and why not others? I know other gyms are doing it AND please do not speak on my behalf when you say "California does not condone such behavior".

It is okay to have your own personal set of ethics but dont be so judgemental and immature and try to shove them down others throats.

I also find it quite offensive that you are threatening this coach.

Are you for real ? Why in the world do you feel this coach has to respond to you . Are you God or do you just have a God complex. I hope this coach whom you are threatening does not respond to you and your child like ways. I hope this coach chooses not to respond to you in this type of forum .

I also agree with no . I think these tactics are also reprehensible and threats should not be tolerated. As long as rules are not being broken then YOUR personal feelings on the matter are just that.

I also agree with NO. Nobody has a right to question any decisions this coach has made. There are rules and sharing of cheerleaders is just not one of them. People have opinions on anything other gyms do and the opinions grow stronger as the gyms skills get better (the little green monster at its best), Here is the one thing I know for a fact. My kids team has alot of talent however, it took them until January to look spectacular, I believe this is because they needed time to bond together and perfect the routine until it was like second nature. Whoever wins at GSSA here is what I have to say...CONGRATULATIONS!!!!....I will be extremely disappointed if something appears on this message board offering some excuse why their team did not win and the winning team did. The winner will be the deserving team. BEST OF LUCK CALI TEAMS!!!

On the other hand....The coaches up in Nor Cal have every right to feel that way...especially since the coach they are referring to is more than likely the same one that said GSSA would be a breeze.
