Congrats to Jr. Red on your win Saturday! From what I hear, you guys looked awesome! I know how hard you have all been working...and it's paying off! Congrats to the rest of Pyramids (and Cheergyms.com) too - sounds like the day was a HUGE success for everyone!
I wanted to thank anyone and everyone who was involved in helping Taylor with her injury Saturday night. I am usually in the stands but on this particular night, I was riding around San Francisco in a limo, throwing a surprise evening/party for my sister! Karen and Linda - you guys are THE best friends I could ever ask for! Thank you for doing all my worrying for me....providing entertainment in the ER...and advocating for Tay as if she were your own. You guys were incredible and Taylor can' t say enough about how much you did for her and how comfortable and well cared for she felt. Thanks, Karen, for keeping her overnight and keeping her sufficiently drugged! KC - Thanks for taking the girls to the competition for me...and for keeping Kelsey overnight. Couldn't have done it without you!
The latest on Tay is that we spent a fun-filled day at the orthopedic surgeon's today. She was taken into surgery for a brief procedure to put her shoulder back into place....yes, that's right. The shoulder they said they didn't think was dislocated? I guess it was that shoulder blade sticking out her back that gave it away today. But also by today, she had lost all feeling in her hand and it was creeping up her arm so they put her under, treating it as an emergency due to possible nerve damage. The feeling is coming back slowly and she is quite sore. But...she is also still quite drugged. (There's a theme here with the drug thing...). We go back to the surgeon next Monday for more "next steps" - today was just to get her realigned so I think that alone will make a great improvement.
Danny...nice photo on the website! Taylor will LOVE that you captured her fabulous post-ER look
I think Taylor might just be taking over the top spot from Vanessa on most visits to the hospital in one season! I hope she is ok and will be able to fully recover soon. I know how much fun those doctor visits can be! Get well Taylor! Laurie and Vanessa
