Supportive vs Unsupportive

First off, I want to thank all the Cheergyms.com families, friends, cheerleaders and supporters that stay and cheer on every Cheergyms.com team. I think it makes a huge difference. With that said, please let's remember some of these simple facts.

Fact #1: As much as Danny and I would like to require every child to have a parent at competitions and that every parent and child stays from 8:00 am - 9:00 pm, that probably isn't going to happen. Let me say I LOVE the POWER fans. They are always there and willing to stay for the long haul to support their teams. I think it does help in POWER'S success. Do we want our fans to do the same, YES!!! Will it be a requirement, sadly, but No! All I do ask is that each family tries to do these things. A) Stay as long as is physically possible. B) Wear Cheergyms.com attire. C) Cheer on every Cheergyms.com team as if every child on that team is your own. D) Be the most supportive, polite and humble fans in the stands.

Fact #2: As much as Danny and I want to watch every Cheergyms.com team, it is almost impossible to do so. With that many teams and Danny and I coaching the All American team and the College Coed team, we will miss some of the performances. With that many kids and parents that have concerns, kids that need our attention and problems that may arise, we will miss some of the performances. We would like to do nothing better, and try as hard as we can, to watch and scream for every team. The kids are like our kids. Their success and failures are ours just the same. Please know we try our best to watch everyone and even when we can’t our inner voices and best wishes are always with the team.

Fact #3: As much as Danny and I want every single Cheergyms.com cheerleader and coach to run to the floor to support each team, it is very hard to get that to happen on our own. We need some help! Help from parents who want to leave the second their child performs, to stay a little longer and cheer us on. Help form the coaches to encourage the kids to go to the floor and cheer. Help from the cheerleaders to pay attention and see who is coming up next. This will make things so much easier and way more fun. But to those that complain “their” cheerleaders don’t get the attention, please remember these things. A) Many times we have 5 – 7 teams in the warm up room getting ready to warm up. They just can’t be out there. B) May of our coaches coach 2 – 3 teams and perform on the college team, they just can’t be there for every Cheeregyms.com team. C) Sometimes the venue and/or company limit what we can or cannot do and we expect everyone to follow every rule put forth by the venue and/or the company putting on the competition.

Fact #4: As much as Danny and I want the stands to be filled with Cheergyms.com supporters and want our teams to get first place every single time, some things are more important to us. A) Having families, cheerleaders and coaches that are supportive of our program and respect and honor our wishes. B) Having families, cheerleaders and coaches that know how to win with dignity and lose with grace. C) Having families, cheerleaders and coaches that know every other team that attends a competition works just as hard as we do and deserve our respect and good sportsmanlike attitudes and comments. D) Having families, cheerleaders and coaches that have morals and values that in turn gain the respect and honor of others. E) Having families, cheerleaders and coaches know that the best kind of win is one that can be shared with each other and by others with us. No none should want to win knowing others think we didn’t deserve it because of our size, or because our “Cheergyms.com Family” is rude in anyway.

Thank you for reading my rant. I hope you all understand what cheering, supporting and working for Cheergyms.com is all about. I hope everyone has a FANTASTIC Holiday Season!

I just want to stay that I am extremely happy and impressed with the cheergyms.com family. This is our first year in all-star cheerleading and I am so happy that my daughter chose Focus and cheergyms.com as her "cheer family." All of the cheergyms.com coaches, parents and cheerleaders have been friendly, polite and supportive to us. I am truly impressed with you and Danny's attention to all of the teams and how supportive you are to the cheerleaders. This has been a very rewarding experience for both of us. My favorite thing of all is the organization, planning and advance notice we are given for practices, events, competitions and vacations. It makes a busy mom's life so much easier to plan. THANK YOU!!!

what can I say...

With so many kids in the program I am truly happy to be a part of Cheergyms.

Amac, alex, kyle and Kirstie have learned so much and not just about cheer. Alison is a great coach, in part because of the wonderful role models she has had the pleasure to learn from over the years.

Alex and Kyle are thriving within the cheergyms program. Sadly, I rarely see them at home. They are too busy practicing.

Kirstie has blossomed (Nelson knows the story) in her years at Motions.

So thanks. Our family loves your family.

Louise.
