Juniors...awesome job yesterday. 4th out of 9th and beating your score from last competition that is so great! You have had some real competition this year after just two competitions. Remember that a win is a win but if there is more then 1 or 2 people in your division then it is a true competition! The rest of the season is up to you, you decide on when you want to take home the first place. Keep on truckin' and getting cleaner.
Thank you to all of the parents for you support of your children , COLONY and cheergyms.com. Thank you to Donna and Krys for the key chains for the backpacks. I am sure all of the kids have thanked you already!!!!
Thanks to the Caris, Goff, Wybenga and Hermann families for your additional support of the college team. Thanks Gina for doing my make-up..someday I will do it myself...maybe.
Finally, thanks to Darcy for being a greta coach with me. This has been such a fun year so far with you around. I am so excited to see you coach the JP's. Thanks for bringing back my youth!!
Yes, Congrats Juniors AND COACHES!!!! what you did all together was awesome, and as Jodi said, the rest is up to you girls.
Jodi, for almost two years, we have watched you go from an inspiring coach to an AWESOME COACH. You have put your heart and your soul into this little team called Colony. We have watched you be a driving force for all the girls, your guidance, and tenacity, a constant driving force. Your guidance, caring, teaching, patience, loving care, and gentle soul, brings the smiles to the faces of our children left in your care. An extrememly positive role model. We could not ask for more. The Love of what You do, are and feel, reflects in our team. A simple thank you seems kind of lackluster at times. So allow me to say THANK YOU, for all that you have done, for our kids, our team, and for yourself. You Are a Winner, and number ONE in our book. A heartfelt thank you, I told you so yesterday before competition....
I can't even begin to say how awesome you girls were this weekend! It looked like a totally different team then the last competition. I was a little worried during warm-ups, but you girls pulled through. Everyone around us on the floor was amazed at how much cleaner you looked. Keep up the hard work! Thanks to all the families who stayed at watched the college performance! And an even bigger thanks to those who didn't! haha! Just Kidding. It really wasn't all that bad. Thanks to Gina for doing my hair! It looked great. Big thanks to the team moms for the keychains. They are very cute. Jodi, what can I say?!? The car ride was interesting. Never again did I think that I would be listening to mixed tapes on a car ride in the year 2005. HAHA. Thanks for the good times! It looks like COLONY is the next up and coming gym! Keep up all the hard work ladies! Let's show them how good we can be! ~Darcy~
Jodi, these girls have found a way to put us in our own generation group now. Little young Darcy. Mixed tapes were quite popular in Jodi & I's time. I sure feel old now. :) :)

something to wonder and smile about. cars with no seat belts and ONE speaker for the radio, riding bicycles with no helmets and pads, there were no rollerblades, just roller skates and skateboards did not come until 1965,and VW had only a 36 horsepower motor, b&W tv, no color, color tv1962 and only 7 channels, my first color tv 1980 and still only received 7 channels, transistor radios that fit in your shirt pocket 1962, film cameras, LP Albums (Long Playing) 331/3 speed record players, tv antennas on the roof, portable tvs, no console ( console was a big piece of furniture with a tv in it) 45RPM records (one song per side) 45 cents each record, still all mono instead of stereo,a new thing called cable for tv 1972,and a thing for moms called a microwave oven, then came a tv game called pong, then atari late 1970s,VHS and Beta video recorders late 1970s,a blank vhs tape was $8.00, a vhs movie was about $65.00, cassete tapes early 1980s good for putting mixed music on and replacing LPS and 45 rpms records.stereo sound WOW, early 1980s a new thing called cellular telephones, no wires, about 8 pounds, laser lp movie discs, smaller transistor radios gave way to boom boxes, then came a new thing in the mid late 80`s called a smaller computer with a 256 mb hard drive, and you had to program it..in the early 90s it was called a personal computer , if you knew ms dos language, then came the information item to revolutionize everything, an information disc cd for computers and music, then someone got smart and put movies on it, and that thousand pound cell phone got to be a few onzes, and we got a zillion speakers in the cars, and the drive in movie , gave way to progress, and a movie screen hanging from to ceiling in our cars, so no longer do we go to drive ins, when we can have a drive along movie, and a fly along movie, if you fly. i don`t, i take an airplane, my feathers haven`t sprouted yet...oh where was i, oh yes...mixed tapes are good, and you can mix your music on your pc and put that mix on your cds, and even put on cheerleading songs. for you to find and enjoy R.E.O Speedwagon is for us or rather me The Beatles, Buffalo Springfield, The Mamas And Papas, maybe even a little Glenn Miller or Tommy Dorsey, and they came before Elvis and The Everly Brothers, yes they were all bands, and they made music where you could understand the words, and it was all G rated. So mixed music is good, cause you can listen to what you want without commercial interuption, and that is what XM Radio is all about, no commercials. and your coach is not old, she is just enjoying life, and your asistant coach was just along for the ride enjoying that part of electronic musical technology :o). you can find all your music, bands , groups and singles on your pc. i had to find it all in a place called the library... so i will end and see what the future brings, maybe another 1st place trophy..ahhh to dream the not impossible dream.
I love REO Speedwagon! I must be us midwesterners! You guys looked great at AB! Have a great season....by the way, I want a copy of what you have....if you've got REO I WANT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
