i think this is really funny... all of these parents are saying that showing ur stomach makes ur team look unclassy.... but i think u u guys gotta realize this is 2005 not 1950 look around. N the whole it doesnt look good on everyone thing.... if u sign up for a team im sure u already no from the beginning of the season wat ur uniforms look like n if u no there belly tops n u dont think you'll look good in it then work to look good in it! I no if i didnt work hard at practice i prolly wouldnt wanna wear it either. So coming from an accual cheerleader that wears a belly top... i like them n i think they look awesome!
p.s. sorry but i dont like cheergyms uniforms either.... u cant even read pyramids name on theirs unless ur standing right in front of them. But they do stand out ill give u that

What would you like to see less of this season? Judge Allen: Skin.
Now, just a question for those of you that do wear the half tops and are proud of it, I'm just curious (not trying to put you down) as to why you want to wear a half top uniform?
Hey well personally, I like midriff uniforms for all star competitive teams, but have seen a couple full top uniforms that are decent. Cheergyms.com uniforms are clean and sharp, while working well for the routines they perform. Personally, I think that all star teams should have something a little more athletic and flashy, specifically because we are all stars. All star teams should stick out and look different and a step up from a h.s.,youth, pop warner, or college team. I don't necessarily think a half top uniform is in bad taste, because its meant to be a performance uniform not an outfit to be worn out to the mall. Someone brought up Fierce's uniform. I LOVE them. Such an impact when they hit the floor.
My child wears a crop top. Its new to our gym just this year. It's absolutely ADORABLE!!! They also changed the material to that stretchy, thin material. (same material as RC Club Cheer if you saw it) When the girls tried them on for the first time 2 weeks ago, all of them said, 'AHHHHH WE CAN BREATHE!!!" We don't have zippers in the back and no high or mid neckline, so the girls feel less "heavy" than before.
Now, our gym only has crops for our Senior Advanced team. The rest of the gym has full tops with the same exact design. We have a few younger girls on the team but since these girls wear bathing suits out in public, a short top in a cheerleading competition isn't going to show anything more than what we showed all summer.
As for design, I can't say I like one gym better than another. I think of it this way. What if we all wore the same thing????? Yikes...... But I do have to give Kudos to those parents who are struggling to keep their kids covered up. I thank my lucky stars my own child doesn't give me such problems. Keep watching over them. You are good parents.
Just try and remember what your daughter wore to the beach this summer, thinking she looked "hot"...... Now put a skirt over those bottoms, and a half top over that tiny bikini top. There ya go!!!!! She's wearing 25% more clothes than before! Now take away the guys and older men who go to the beach and like to look. And replace them with parents, judges, other girls and friends. You have a competition!!!! So crops aren't so bad if you put it in perspective.
I say, do what's best for your team. And no making fun of others. You don't have to like anything if you don't want to and you are allowed to post your opinions. No one was bashing anyone here. We all know that. Everyone is different and that's what makes America so special!!!!
wow, well said. I wear a half top too and have worn one for the past two years, ours are also the stretchy material... remembering to the pop warner days with the big bulky uniforms that never fit right, i cant even imagine. Everyone on my team is very atheltic and i think the half tops look great on us. i do agree that novice teams should not wear half tops just because sometimes there are bigger girls, and i really do agree that it distracts from the performance if u keep looking at the huge girl in the teeny uniform. so i say, if ur athletic...go for it it looks cute! oh and i do like pyramids new uniforms way better than their old ones, they look really nice even though as i just stated im a half top fan as well
The uniform pictured looks like something a high school team would wear. I was told that the horizontal striping on the skirt is a bad look for competitive cheer. And all the extra embroidery on that skirt and shell is going to bring up the price big time. You do get the two different looks though with the underliner or without. That is a bulky uniform and I wouldn't be surprised if it was from a catalog at least five or six years old.
I am not a fan of the crop top look for any team younger than college. Seriously between the crops and the shabby "costumes" for some of the dance (hiphop/funk) categories, sometimes it's unwatchable.
Hey everyone chill. Everyone has a right to thier own opinion. Lets keep it light here. My daughter is twelve and I like her uniform. Yes she is part of Cheergyms. I think they look sharp and have presence. I have nothing against the crop tops and some girls look really cute. My problem is not everyone is created equal and they don't always look that good on all the girls. Thats not meant as a put down - just my opinion. To get back to the original topic. Cheer Divas always look good. Love the hair. Looking forward to seeing them this year. I also like the uniforms Power wears. I like that they all different cause sometimes after seeing a zillion teams perform during one competition it helps!
