Loser All Stars Winner All Stars 2nd Place All Stars Random All Stars
Loser All Stars and 2nd Place All Stars go head to head with 20 teams in their division at Cheersport Nationals. Winner All Stars get a Bid to worlds.
Loser All Stars competes against 3 teams at GSSA and gets a bid to worlds.
Random All Stars got 3rd place at Cheersport Nationals, did not get a bid to worlds, but is better than Loser All Stars.
What do we do then? I think Worlds will only be "WORLDS" when it is one, two, or maybe three, LEGITAMENT united states nationals that the winners can qualify to worlds from.

I think this opinion is a little jaded, but thats me. First of all Cheersport, NCA and maybe even UCA are a little bit more competitive because of the region of the country they are located. Those areas have more teams competing at the advanced divisions than california teams. So its only obvious that the competitions such as USA and GSSA will have less competitors in level 5 but the teams in the division are still competitive. The teams thare are in level 5 I think are pretty competitive on the west coast. American cheer , placed 3rd 2 years in a row over GREAT teams and got their bids from GSSA and USA. The whole reason its only level 5 teams is due to getting the best at the HIGH level. Your not taking level 1 teams to worlds cause they are not doing the hardest skills. IT just seems to me that you think random teams are going. I can't think of random teams that have gone for the past 2 years. Maybe teams that don't have as many fulls, but make up for it in other areas. Just because a team is not Cheer Athletics doesn't mean they are "random". You forget all star programs haven't even been around for 20 years, so most programs are pretty new. There are alot of teams you may not have heard of, but the talent is still there. "You gotta have the skillz, cause your name means nothing"
I don't ever see this being resolved. Take a look at Major League Baseball. The Padres are going to the playoffs. There are a lot of teams better then the Padres.
If you look at it Bryan's way...2005's "loser allstars" from GSSA came out ahead of "winner allstars" and "random allstars" from NCA, Cheersport, and UCA! Don't sell the west coast short. I've seen Worlds two years in a row now and I really believe the most competitive west coast teams can hang against the other nationals' top competitors. Maybe not in every division every year, but we have plenty of strong programs that produce very competitive teams that are capable of making very good showings.
Why does it matter if the organizations are willing to pay bids? What a great way for the smaller and more regional companies to get exposure? And, let's face it, the whole thing is a money making proposition...if the companies and/or USASF stop making money because the comp loses its prestige or for whatever reason, things will change.
