RE: 2011-2012

it basically means those families that stayed will have to buy a new uniform now and will end up competing against other pcm teams. Its sad to see another gym close/merge.

Unfortunately it seems as the bad aspect of the merger between West Coast and Platinum took over, in not being able to provide what they stated. I wish the best for the owner of West Coast, as she for years has had a quality program in character and in teams, I am sure this was not an easy decision. Good Luck to all invovled in this transition and GO PCM Walnut!!

The amount of truth certain posters claim to have could fill a thimble. Please refrain from posting insults disguised as compliments. Some people really need to get a life - especially those with several user names on this board.

So does that mean west coast had 3 teams this season before the buyout? In a way it was probably a smart move for west coast. I mean they would've sunk quick since most of their athletes left this season and they were just going downhill

no they had more then 3, and the owner didnt sell west coast because the loss of teams from last year but because of other problems.

I am guessing walnut wont have a level 5 team. Does that mean those level 5 athletes will have to drive to one of the other 3 gyms? What levels will Walnut offer?

If this was directed towards me, I in no way meant this as an insult. Just stating that for some mergers go well and are a positive aspect and sometimes they dont. Maybe in this case it wasnt, not sure. I just wish things would not have happened this way for West Coast. I  am a strong believer in small gyms, and it is hard to see the current state of takeovers, as this only makes competitions that much smaller. But I understand in this case they had to do what was best for all involved.

I can also say that I whole heartdly wish the owner of West Coast, Tami all the best. I have known her for years and my heart goes out to her, as this I am sure was not a decision made lightly.  All the best to everyone in what ever gym there at in 2011-2012.

robert you don't even know what youre talking about you're not part of west coast anymore so stop answering people's questions like you have the "inside scoop". west coast didn't even have teams picked out yet FYI. check your sources before you make assumptions. thanks!

Power also has a performance team in el dorado. What other teams are going medium coed I heard there will be a lot in this division. Anyone think a team from california (the state not the gym) will win at worlds this season?

Power has a video up on their website of their medium coed worlds team. Looks really good so far. I guess the videos were shot at their first practice.
Also heard ucf is having a 5 team this year can anyone confirm?

UCF does infact have a senior 5 team
