You tube posts of other gyms

I want to know how gyms feel about other gyms posting other teams routines on you tube. I personally think no gym should post another gyms routine.
Just a thought.

I think that if it a performance at a gym function then it should not be posted.....but if it is at a public event...it's fair game.  Most gyms know that at a comp...you could end up on youtube by nightfall....:)

I agree....you're performing at a public venue-why would you think your routine is going to be kept a secret? We post our own-nothing to hide!

Here the thing with me, I can get my performance order, download the score grid, look up every team Im going against, know what they are doing...ajust my routine accordingly and beat them, easy as that. I just don't think its okay,

Why not??? That is called a "scouting report"!! teams study game film in every sport to prepare for their opponent. It's no different here

But I like how you said your team, that means you put it up right? I just think it should be up to that team, that team not everyone else, where is the line drawn about what goes up and what doesnt. When is it ok to put anything and everything up on you tube? What if it was your daughter in a routine and something happened to her, any like a fall, she got sick, or god for bid something really bad or embarrassing happened and now there it is for all to see?

In this age of the internet, facebook and tweeting....NOTHING is kept hidden and honestly...we all keow the "dangers" of the job when we took it...hee hee....at the end of the day...all you have is the talent you have and knowing what other teams have does not hurt nor help your talent....play your cards and have fun.....:)

Is that because they don't want other gyms looking at them right? I thought most gyms would be along those same rules. I want to have any edge I can as a gym owner to win, and to protect my kids from anything. Like one of my members did get sick on the floor by Monday it was all over the school she didnt sign up again after that.

How can they police that??? And why would they want to???
What is the harm in allowing kids or parents to be proud and show off what they are doing?? What is the gym afraid of??
I know lots of ??? but I just don't see the big deal.

I am a All-Star Cheerleading fan and I spend LOTS of time watching video's and appreciating the amazing talent of the Athletes, Choreographers, and Coaches

I dont like this rule its a west coast rule amd i dont think its a good one because the int. 5 team had a video leaked of there first como were they did really bad and they bascially havent been alloweed to get a video out to recover that first one.

Im not talking about a gym that the parents or members, or the coaches and owners of that gym putting video up...I am talking about other gyms tapeing other teams and put those videos up. That is my question "Is it okay for anyone to tape any team they want and up load it on you tube, without that teams okay" or should anyone be able to do what ever they want. Should there be some kind of good sportsmanship and not do it. I am JUST talking for me I would never ever tape a team and put it on you tube and I would never allow any of my parents or members on my team do so either.
I am not talking about hiding things or being afraid, Im talking about respect for another gym and what they want and how they run things in their gym.

I think ultimately, IMO , it was a public event and I put my team on the mat so if they have a video and want to post it then that's up to them.
