I do understand how scores work - what I dont understand is how a last place team is out scoring second place teams from other divisions. I have seen the routines and although west coast is well choreographed and clean they lack the skill to compete at level 5.

stop hating! In case you dont know WC Senior 5 got a bid last year and was .09 away from making it to the finals at worlds. They are very much able to compete at a level 5 and you should really keep your comments to yourself. Thats just plain rude!

THE GIRLS ARE VERY TALENTED BUT SOME OF THERE SKILLS ARE NOT LEVEL 5. I'VE SEEN VIDEOS OF THE LAST TWO COMPS AND I AGREE WITH LUV2CHEER I DONT KNOW HOW THEY ARE OUT SCORING TOP TEAMS. NOT EVERYTHING IS THERE. THEY JUST RECEIVED AN INVITATION SO IT'S NOT PAID. BUT CONGRATS TO WESTCOAST.

What are "At Large" Bids ?
At Large bids are generally awarded to runner- up teams or the next highest scoring teams to the Paid or Partial Paid bid-winning team. However, each event producer that hosts a Worlds qualifying event has the discretion to select the divisions and the process by which the bids are awarded. Recipients of At Large bids are eligible to compete at Worlds, however theymust pay for their own Worlds Travel Packages and all of their related expenses

They havent even had their bid for an hour and you are already starting drama? Last year they got a At Large Bid and again let me remind you they were .09 away from going to finals at worlds. Be supportive of other teams on the west coast not negative.

How about we just congratulate them. :) If those teams are truly better, I am sure they will have no problem getting bids. It is still early in the season. Congrats to those receiving bids!

Congrats to all the teams that received paid and at large bids. It was a tough competition and all teams looked great.

Congratulations to all the teams that were awarded bids! I loved seeing all the great teams. It is so fun to watch the expressions on the faces of the teams that get the bids.

After a really rough first day...Cali Smoed did great and went from last to second...so proud...love you guys!!! It's early in the year.....get it next time.....congratulations to all the winners!!!!!
