?? Bad parent shirts ??

Well WCCheer I don't care about the shirts, I care about what is being portrayed on them and the fact that my daughter had her friends and family come watch her and they saw those shirts while at the competition then asking me and all their parents when they got home what FML and MILF mean . It's just innapopriate non the less I'm mortified just hearing that out of younger girls mouths , it's no attack on one gym , it just comes to a point of whats appropriate and that when you are in a public setting it's different than wearing something like that around the gym for example. Point is we all know it was meant to get peoples attention however while some may find it cute and a good idea, others find it vulgar, suggestive and in poor taste.

i have to say, i don't think it's polite to call a gym "trashy," no matter what they are wearing. talk about class? how about we find better words to express our opinions.

If you think "MILF" or "FML" shirts are offensive, you should probably stay away from watching California All Stars this season. Their music says, "Cali Freakin Fornia" right in it. And if you know what MILF or FML stand for, you also know "Freakin" is pretty much along the same lines.

Not judging either team, just saying....

I think its funny. I like that Fierce isn't afraid to push buttons. I laughed when i saw the "Fierce My Life" shirt. I think it's actually clever for taking a term that's originally negative or in "poor taste" and turning it into something else that's positive.

We can argue about what legitimizes the sport and what doesn't. But honestly, no matter what sport it is, it's about having fun. The Fierce shirts made me laugh. So, good job :)

I had read this post when it was first posted as well as all the comments posted after and I must say after seeing these shirts (both of them.....FML & MILF) & the teams uniforms this past weekend and how the coaches dressed. Well, it all did not surprise me a bit! This gym is a local gym in my area and I chose to not have my daughter apart of that gym because of the things that were being said about that organization as well as what I noticed when I went on a walk through of the gym. When I walked out, my first thought was "No Way" would I want my CHILD to be apart of this and pay money for it to top it off!!!

Someone in an earlier post had said that these shirts were funny?!?! Really?!?! I guess we all do have our own opinion but SERIOUSLY......When your CHILD overhears people whispering & talking about MILF, and they would like to know what it means, what will you say?!?! Personally....NOT FUNNY!!
Very pour judgment on the person who designed those and even more so for the Owners who allowed that!! SHAME ON YOU!!!!

Good thing there are other gyms to choose from.  I'm sure you're happy where ever you've chosen to go.  With that being said, leave Fierce and it's parents and kids alone.  If you have nothing good to say then don't say anything at all.

Thanks for your input.  Have a very Happy Holiday!

...From a Fierce parent who likes to see the good in all! biggrin

I absolutely LOVE the Fierce fans and their outfits! I love the Spirit and Support they give to their children. I mean a grandpa wearing a fuzzy zebra cowboy hat with hot pink feathers on the trim....priceless!

Oh and I love your shirts too. There are far more bigger issues in this world that I worry about than what your T-shirt says or what saying is in CA's music!

Have a Fierce season!

i guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion. personally i can care less about the shirts because we all know that nobody in this msg board is perfect..... so that being said... FIERCE: KEEP DOING YOUR THING, YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING AND ARE SOOOO NICE. AND THE PEOPLE THAT HATE ON YOUR GYM OR ATHLETES ARE JUST JEALOUS.

Yes, everyone is entitled to their opinion and that makes this board interesting.

If a gym is going to "push the envelope" on things, I think they know there will be comments both for and against whatever it is. There's already two pages about the t-shirt!

I also think that if someone doesn't like something, it doesn't necessarily mean they're jealous, they may just have a different opinion.

You ever hear the phrase, any press is good press?

even if you are fully against their shirts, and have a million good points as to why they are wrong, we're still talking about FIERCE. They're creating a stir, they're getting talked about. Whether good or bad, they're getting talked about. And I bet, that's exactly what they thought would happen. Fierce wins.

Honestly, it annoys me that this is still an on going thread. Boo hoo, their tshirts are suggestive... I've seen more suggestive things on high school ASB shirts to be honest.

If you hate it, keep hating it. please. Cuz all you're doing is bringing more attention to them, and playing right into their hands. Fierce is cool, if you don't like it, then FIERCE OFF

Rockstar, you ROCK!  haha Thanks for the love and support from the posters who get it.

Now let's all kick some butt this season!

Well, if this is the kind of stuff that you post on an internet web site, bashing another team for something as simple as a shirt then Fierce is most likely glad you DIDN'T join there gym.  And if the gym your with knew about it, and they have any integrity at all, they'd be sorry you were there.  No gym owner worth their salt would want their parents gym-bashing and spouting off like that.

I hope your kid isn't ever exposed to TV, or magazines, or a radio, or a playground, or a school, or a shopping mall because you are very likely to run into things equally "offensive" - or more likely worse.

So really, SHAME ON YOU!  As my mother told me, if you can't say something nice, you shouldn't say anything at all.
